think you played it great on every street with your image.

+1. I mean obv 4-betting PF is fine too, but I like this line.

I WILL MUCK was iso-3betting in position against you quite a bit before this hand wasnt he?

Not sure how you should take advantage of that, but the minute you flatted yet again (was expecting a 4bet preflop) i knew you were going to raise the flop, because you had called and c/f in the similar situation against him 2 times before that i had seen. Expected you were either slowplaying a monster or going to bluff at it anyway

Again, not sure if that means you should play it more strongly preflop because hell put you on a wdier range thats playing back at him or that you should play it like that (cause im a live donk)

I like how you played it, curious what you'd do if he bet 14,200 on the turn. I prefer just calling 3bets with AK here to balance for the times you have the 56 suiteds etc bc we all know how u love playing those hands.

This might just be because of your image, but I think the flop c/r is too small. I'd make it like 9.5.

Other than that I really like the line.

i like c/c river than lead but rest i like inclu the flop sizing anything bigger is too big imo
03-28-2010 , 10:00 PM
I like your line as played.

What was your turn plan with the check?
03-28-2010 , 10:16 PM
i like it

Especially that your flop raising range is real wide in this spot

Most players i would say that raising ak here is overepping your hand, but in this spot i like it

I prefer a preflop 4 bet but I agree that with your image calling the 3bet is fine too. Post flop is well done though.

looks good

I would raise the flop smaller

Do you c/r the flop with air? If not I like a call more to rep TT-QQ and get him to barrel off.
03-29-2010 , 01:38 AM
Seems fine. I don't think there's much point in debating the nuances of this hand with respect to alternate lines or adjustments in bet sizing without knowing something about reads and table dynamics. In a vacuum, this looks fine.

i think raising flop is garbage, call and call some more

ya im really surprised by all the love for the flop raise.
03-29-2010 , 05:23 AM
my reasoning for flop raise is that daniel can be seen to be doing something goofy and small as a bluff (see the KQ v KK hand for example) or raising to see where he's at with god knows what. Hence i'd check turn and check river to bluff catch the floats or thin value bets. i agree i dont like his line combined with the river lead.

if he c/c the flop which is more std he can 'rep' KK- but he also has a bunch of Ax's and given his general station image I doubt any more money is being put into the pot with him in good shape if he c/c's the flop.

When i get raised on such a dry flop in a 3bet pot vs a loose aggressive opponent the last hand I am putting him on is a hand containing an ace in it . So actually doing it with AK is probably a good idea instead of going into check call mode where your hand looks more like an Ace playing way ahead way behind.
03-29-2010 , 08:15 AM
call flop and rep TT obv.
03-29-2010 , 08:48 AM
Just no way raising the flop is THAT bad, you can often induce more by repping next to nothing rather than a wide calling range that from villain's angle may or may not fold. Needs a check-call on the river though.

if u arnt going to 4bet this pre, then what hands will you actually 4bet in this spot?
