Villan is actionDJ from Pokerstars/FTP. Game is a $5/$10 w mandatory $20 straddle, the game is 6 handed. No real history, we play each other pretty straight up, he might think I'm a little too laggy and very stationy, and he probably assumes that I think he's a massive nit. We are about ~$3800 effective and I pick up A K and raise to $80, actionDJ calls on button everyone else folds.

Flop comes: K T 9

I bet $140, actionDJ calls pretty quick.

Turn comes: A

I bet $390, actionDJ raises to $1100.

someone who beats live 5-10 for $215/hr doesn't know what to do here?

serious answer: you're behind to 3 hands and 2 of em he should've 3bet pf. call turn and check river. if he ships the river on a brick, well, time to make a read.

I thought this exact thing, hooray.

Time bank the turn (Imagine you have AJ) then ck/call river except maybe a d, depends if you think he would still vbet worse 2pairs on a d river.

Call turn, c/f or c/c river.

I'm trying to figure out a way to ask what I'm thinking but I can't really put it into words. Like, say his hand was flipped face up on the table, what kind of hands would you expect to see from a "competent" regular.

Assuming he's a solid TAG I would say 50% of the time he's got QJ, TT, 99 and the other 50% he's got a massive draw. so something like AdXd, Jd8d, or 8d7d.

TT, 99 and AdQd I think he would 4-bet preflop more often than not if he thinks you're a bit laggy. the flopped straight flush draws I think he would raise those most of the time on the flop. So I'm leaning here mostly towards QJ or AdJd.

Kinda seems like he has A9/AT. Given how much of a massive nit he is id call down rather than threebet the turn. What was his timing like on the turn? Was it heavy deliberation?

Would massive nit raise those everytime ? Would nit be able to vbet only againts lesser two pairs without being afraid of straights and sets ?

hit a K on the river to suck out on his superstraight

really though, this board nails your range, and he's raising the turn fairly big? combine that with he thinks your stationy, you've been playing each other straight up, and he's a nit?

this seems like a crying call at best, i cant imagine putting more money in on the river, considering the pot will be like 2600 and a psb is basically stacking off.

hands like AdJd and other pair+draws really shouldnt be raising here at all. and if they were, they'd want to raise the flop where they have better overall EQ.

all raising here would do is make the pot too big to fold when he has ****ty EQ on the turn, and if he has a pair he can already beat a bluff, and you can EASILY have straights, 2p, sets. (imo 7d8d is never raising turn if it didnt raise flop)

so all in all, without a massive read its prolly a fold, or maybe if you think he's effing with you, you can call the turn but i don't like that at all
