I didn't read the Strazynski article and I haven't read this whole thread, but I do want to throw something out there (which may have been already mentioned by someone else). Based on my observation of live poker in The Bellagio poker room, which in the overall scheme of things would be a small sample size, it seems to me that there is a much higher percentage of women in the limit games than in the no-limit games.

As to why this might be the case, well, I don't know. But if this observation of mine is true in more places, it would indicate that for some reason women, as do I, prefer limit poker over no-limit, and thus the way to bring more women into poker would be to promote limit games.

I happened to bump into 2015 WSOP Ladies Championship winner Jacqueline Scott, a successful south Florida real estate executive who is also good friends with many of the players and dealers, during a break from the $111,111 One Drop. With good humor and a sense of disbelief to have won her first bracelet, Jacqueline answered my questions and went over some key hands.

(This was for my blog, which is pretty much off-the-cuff and unrehearsed. I have a few pictures up as well, I'll try and get them onto the actual thread here in the next day or two.)
