thats awesome, congrats and keep up the good work. I dont know if i could run a 5k, the only exercise i get is taking the stairs to my apartment (4th floor) and up to my office (5th floor).

WTG!!!

I had pretty good weightlifting session last night, which I do weekly. (Slacked off during the WSOP, but am back into it for 1.5 months now.)

Routine:
  • Dead-lift: 10 warm up, 2 working sets of 12 x 155lb (after getting back into it post-WSOP have gone from two sets of 135 to this )
  • Bench Press: 10 warm up, 2 working sets of 11 x 90lb (not my best exercise)
  • Triceps extension: 2 sets of 15 x 25lb (to avoid looking like the first pic in this thread obv)
  • Bar curl: 1 set of 15 x 45lb
  • Abs: 25 on first set of whatever you call the super declined chair thingy with 8 lb medicine ball, + 15 more
  • Stretches and yoga balance poses: 10 mins
Then we walked Wilbur for about an hour.

I like how weight-lifting teaches me to focus on the cool things my body can do, which is something even more apparent then when I play racquetball (since the focus for me becomes more on how I played). I also the pink gloves I get to wear.

Anyone else do weight-lifting? What's your routine?

I lifted weights 3-4 days a week for like 6 months. Now I've hit a wall and haven't gone in > a month . Beata is that you in the second pic? Can we have a flirt with beata thread in this forum too?

do yourselves a huge favor ladies and loose that unwanted body fat.

the rules are simple.. eat less exercise more.. but you got to eat after a while you'll find you will be actually eating more but still maintaining a fit healthy body.

if you cant make time to develop a healthy habit for yourself your priorities are screwed up

give yourself a huge gift and get fit. doing so is all upside.

if you dont think im right walk around w/ a 25 pound backpack on for a few hours then take it off. you will have an pretty good idea of what its like to be 25 #s lighter. you'll look better and more importantly feel better. And that will do wonders for you in all kinds of ways.

What kind of extra gifts do I get with purchase?

So my boyfriend and I got up early twice last week, and have already gotten up twice this week, to go workout.

Back to back days are hard for me to do cardio (due to soreness and restriction in my hip and back), so I lifted today (biceps curls, triceps lifts, shoulder press, and a little light ab and quads work).

I'm a little sore but nothing unbearable. We used to go quite frequently then fell out of the habit. Here's hoping we can start going consistently again.

Good for you! My BF and I have been doing 2 mile walks 4 days a week and using treadmill, boloflex and stationary bikes the last week and a half and it already has made a HUGE difference on how we feel..... too bad it will all go to crap with our Halloween party and all the food and drinks we are making.

Yea, those tweets are sick tilt.
Wish I could block the tweets that come in from you about 2am my time each day.
At least you are consistent

Yeah, it's just unfortunate I woke up with shooting pain in my lower back. Hopefully it's just a mild muscle spasm. My back is a mess.

I could just turn off the notifications. Only reason I started tracking them was cause it was to get Dad doing some kind of exercise and he's nerdy enough to maintain a spreadsheet to track his distance.

At least when you hit the right time zone you won't have to worry about the 2am tweets anymore.

Not having a great time fitness wise. 1 week to go in sunny Arizona and, without wishing to offend my colonial friends, it's really difficult to eat well here. The gym in the hotel - well the AC is bust and its far too hot to run outside. I have a fridge, but nothing to cook in, which means eating out most nights, which is silly cheap. I can truly understand why people are so lazy - can't walk anywhere! I've been to parts of the states before, but yeah, tough to stay fit here (I'm sure it would be different if I actually lived here).

Oh well, back home next Thursday then hopefully back into my 5-times a week. Motivational levels - low.

It's times like those its handy to have fun dance videos in your arsenal. I once gained 15 pounds while visiting the sticks. I went on amazon ordered some videos and called it a day.
