Like a purple club or purple spade pin.

Just a rando thought.
Well, there are six colors in the rainbow flag, so how about each of the four suits in one of those colors plus a chip on each side for the other two? That might make a nice pin or button. My photoshop skills are poor, but maybe I'll play with that.

This may have been mentioned in the previous 50 pages, but what are the best Gay clubs/bars in Las Vegas? I have checked yelp and received positive reviews from the Garage and Phoenix. I wanted some other reviews from you guys.

Phoenix = best bar.

Pirahna = best club.

Re: **Rainbow Flops: The GLBTQ Discussion Thread**

I may have posted something similar in here before but honestly can't remember, I think it was about a different guy though. I know this thread is almost never used but I'm guessing some/most of you have experienced similar things in the past and may have some advice for me.

I have a friend that's ~4-5 years younger than that I met through my sister/a younger cousin. I met him about 8 years ago now when he was 13 (I was 17 or 18). We got aloong and everything but weren't around each other much until he was maybe 17 and started hanging out around my sister more (him and her were strictly platonic). Him and I ended up starting to hang out a bit, and probably within 2 months of him becoming legal had hooked up for the 1st time. We ended up in bed together most times I'd come to town (I live ~2 hours away currently) for the last 2-3 years, which was about once or twice a month. A handful of times he'd say that was the last time, and almost every time he'd make sure to tell me "he wasn't gay". I'd always make sure he knew that if it came down to a point where we had to stop having sex to continue being friends, I was 100% fine with that. I had quickly grown to care way too much for him to let sex halt our friendship, but he seemed to still be ok with it so we kept going.

Probably about a year ago, he was in need of a job and I told him I could get him one if he moved down with me. He seriously considered it and we figured out the logistics behind it, but he wanted a week to think about it. I went home...and I never heard back from him, and he stopped replying to my texts. He stopped making eye contact and just generally making things awkward enough when we're with mutual friends where they ask me wtf is going on, because it's so out of character for him. He apparently made a comment recently to one of our friends that I need to realize he's grown up and not into the same things he used to-which at the end of the day isn't really an issue at all, and could be solved in about 3 minutes if he had just said that to me. Of our group of friends, none of them know that we've been together, but 1 or 2 of them are starting to pick up on it and he's basically "outing" himself by being so awkward.

I've mostly left him alone the last 6 months and let him do what he needs to do to figure **** out, but I'm a) getting sick of the awkwardness he creates every time I see him and generally getting ignored, and b) would much rather go back to us being friends, even if there's 0 sex, which was apparently his end goal anyways.

There's really not a chance of me not seeing him or avoiding him so that's not an option (ffs, he's in my family's fantasy football league); and I'm trying to stay on this tight line of not upsetting him, because I realize that being with someone of the same sex makes life that much more difficult, especially for someone that identifies as straight-but I also don't want to ignore it to the point where we can never get back on track and capable of having a conversation. I saw him this weekend, and he even managed to say hello to me when it was just the 2 of us (progress!), but I know this is still a really thin line of giving space and pushing it a bit. This could have simply been him experimenting (about 50 times ha) or just getting off or him denying his feelings, I have 0 idea and it probably doesn't matter much until he figures it out. But I also am hoping some of you have advice/experience on this whole situation. sorry for all the rambling

Re: **Rainbow Flops: The GLBTQ Discussion Thread**

Heya everyone!

I'll be going back to Vegas for a visit in a couple of weeks. There with a friend (he's strayt) from 24 Oct to 27 Oct. It would be cool to meet up with someone there. I'm in Portland now and grew up in Austin, TX. So if anyone (either here or in real life) is curious about those places, feel free to ask.

We are pretty low stakes gamblers. Plan to visit The Orleans for some limit Omahahahahaha! I love that game. And some low stakes table games (blackjack) downtown. And some HE here and there.

==

Was also wondering about bars/clubs. Saw a post about the Phoenix and Piranha. They look cool.

But was wondering if there is a bar or club that has more of a "I don't care" vibe. A place where it's all about dancing, not about being seen or hooking up or showing off. Somewhere where it does not matter if you are gay/strayt/male/female, where the people may be stone cold sober and dancing just because they like to move or rolling or shrooming and no one cares and it's just fun.

I've always like this type of venue. Usually they are goth or dark or industrial and you see guys in fishnets, women with a lot of ink and metal, and everyone is just dancing because they like the sound.

Austin has Elysium on Sunday nights and it's a blast. Portland has Lovecraft Bar and used to have Embers.

===

Hope everyone is well. And that your draws always hit - after all, "they were sooted!!!"

Rainbow Flops The GLBTQ Discussion Thread

Or maybe a better idea would be to do the rainbow as the underskirt but based with white ruffles, and then sky blue for the overskirt?

This isn't to say there isn't migration towards "one's own" during a tournament...I know I offered up part of a room at the conclusion of a Circuit event to someone I played with at the final table who was clearly family. Neither of us had dropped the L word...we simply got along well and discussed partners during the various conversations between hands and on breaks.

Admittedly, even if there were meet-ups scheduled, I would likely take a pass simply because late nights are not what I want with the schedule I am trying to pull off. Breakfast with a couple of kindred spirits is far more likely with me LOL, but then I am old(er).

And, TBH, some of those sorts of things get to be NOT fun in a hurry since someone inevitably has to drag politics into the mix...
Hmmm.... how did I not notice that you are from Austin. Wooooo!

I am going back to Vegas tonight and meeting up with a couple of buddies from Austin. We play poker, but rather casually. Well, definitely me. One buddy has gotten into some pretty interesting PLO situations.

Reading about Texas, I am so very happy that I am no longer dealing with the heat. Seems like things are melting down there now.

LOL...I'm sort of from all over right now. Spending more time in Houston than Austin but Austin is still what shows on the important papers.

No PLO for me, but I fly out Sunday and will be there for a little more than 48 hours...redeye out at 1AM Wednesday. Friend has a birthday, so not much poker on this trip. What little I do play will likely be at the Nugget since we are downtown for the stay...

Hasn't been too bad...maybe 102 or 103 but with a little breeze. And true to Houston form, some brief afternoon showers around 430 or 5PM. It is the sort of weather that pools were designed to help address...and the advantage to your own pool is you don't have people whining about glass bottles that the beer is in when you get it from the floating cooler.

I used to live in Houston a while back.

I miss the House of Pies (chili omelette!), 59 Diner, Star Pizza (spinach deep dish), and yummy Chinese food.

We would drive to Louisiana all the time to play in Lake Charles. Never got into the underground poker scene there though.

Downtown Vegas for the win! I will be at the Golden Gate tonight so checking out the Nugget game. Woo hoo hoo!
