this league is crazy. i would be in third to last if it was based on points for, and instead i'm in 2nd place.

Just a crushingly bad performance by my fantasy team this week. I'm up against Katie75013, who I'm sure is a lovely person, but is obviously not paying any attention to this, as evidenced by the fact that she a) is 0-5 and b) has two receivers in the game that aren't playing (one on the bye week, one out injured).

Going into tomorrow night's game, I'll be slightly down (unless Brees or Colston of the Saints do something in the last two minutes of the game), with my defense (Jets) going up against her running back (Greene). I don't like my chances.

Edit: Also, the Browns lost, and I blew my 6 win streak on ESPN's Streak for the Cash (my longest streak ever!) taking Brady over Romo in yards thrown. He was up after that final drive by 3 yards, but of course Romo completed two passes on their desperation drive. Not a good football afternoon.

Hang in there, you still have some hope Jets def vs Miami has some serious potential imo

True, but I'm worried that Greene vs. Miami's defense will be just as good.

Most of my big hitters underperformed or barely met their projections. Only one player significantly underperformed (my third WR, Colston).

The Dallas/NE game turning into a defensive slug fest really hurt me, I had two receivers (Austin from Dallas and Welker from NE) and my TE (Hernandez, NE). I was really hoping that game was going to be like a 34-30 offensive shootout.

And a big for the Jets D, who helped me squeak out a win this week to improve to 4-2.

Barring a last second long run for a touchdown by Greene.

If I win my matchup this week, it will be heavily because of two words: Arian Foster.

I didn't notice until now that the top four teams in the league right now are playing each other this week.

After the end of this week we'll have all played each other once. Revenge matches, here we come.

Also, today is my birthday and both my real team and my fantasy team gifted me with wins. That's a good birthday (although, my God, what an ugly win by Cleveland).

I haven't looked at any of my yahoo scores this week. just peaked at the scores in my main money league (double header this week) and I'm up by 40 in each game with Ray Rice to go.

well Happy Birthday! Glad you got some presents.

If I get by this week, it will only be because of enormous variance from New Orleans. Still have to fade Ray Rice & Billy Cundiff tomorrow so I'm hopeful but far from certain.

Did anyone pick up Demarco Murray this week? I was lucky enough to get him in my Yahoo league - what a game he had!!!

Big week for Drew Brees and Arian Foster too.

That Saints game was insane lol.

I have both Brees and Foster. I actually could have won the week with just three players (those two and Colston from the Saints) even though my opponent actually put up decent numbers this week.

They both just killed it. I happy.

Nothing like some birthday rungood Though someone in my other league managed to lose even with 40+ points out of Brees - guy's gotta be pretty pissed haha

Wow, with the exception of two teams, everyone is within a game of each other (3 teams at 5-2, 3 teams at 4-3).

I have the second most points against, yet have the most points for so I'm in 1st place. I guess that means that most of my match-ups are shoot outs.

Since we've all played each other once, the points against just represents variance, doesn't it? I have the least PA, but can't think of anything I've done to make that happen other than run good.

In fact, my whole season is just reinforcing what Mason says; sometimes variance can be your friend.

Finished the week 5-1 in my 5 leagues and could care less given OAK performance on Sunday and the fact that we gave up a 1st rounder for that jackwagon Palmer.

*sighs*

At least I'm 9-0 in my main money league.

All of FF is variance. The only part you control is the players you pick, but you have zero control over how they perform, if they get injured, etc. You can be a great football analyst, but if you pick great players who have off years and/or get injured, you're going to get hammered in your fantasy league.
