As promised in the NC thread, here's our thread for baking (both sweet and savory).
I've started saving a few calories all week so that I can bake something indulgent on Sundays-- funny how just a few months ago Sunday was my busiest work day.
Here was tonight's:
It's a French chocolate tartlet in a pate sucree crust. The decorations are just sucree cookies with ganache filling (and sprinkled with 10x sugar), held up by chocolate moose. One the top is a toasted almond sliver. Hard to tell scale in picture, but it is about the size of a big cupcake.
It is a super rich chocolate tart, but it is among my favorite deserts of all time, and it was as great as always. Beat: need to go running now.
Anyone bake anything good lately?
