Not sure if this will accomplish much, but we'll see.

I'm interested to know how the women on 2+2 are generally treated by men and how it compares to the recent past. I arbitrarily picked five years, assuming that longer than 5 years ago probably meant more sexist treatment.

Additional questions to comment on, perhaps:

a) Is your goal to be considered "one of the guys"? And, should it be a goal?

b) In the games/rooms that you've become a regular in, whose behavior has changed more- yours, or theirs?

c) Has the appearance of quality women poker players on televised events significantly helped with general impressions of you, as a woman player? Slightly helped? Hurt your treatment?

How is this a little strange? The way women are treated in the poker room is bound to actually be an issue facing women in poker.

Wish I could offer a thoughtful response, but I don't spend much time, if any, in card rooms.

I think they're referring to the long poll choices
They're in a grouping of 3, then 4, then 3 on particular subjects. There isn't a good way to separate them out, unfortunately, without doing separate polls... and I'm sure no one wanted that!

Of course, when it seems that people so far are voting for EVERY choice, it may not server much of a purpose after all

What about online? If you're identified as a woman, how bad is it there? I'm assuming you're getting some juvenile crap, if my wife's experiences at the play tables are any indication.

Hey, if it's deemed worthless/counterproductive some how, do what you need to do.

Yea, I think it was all the choices, lol.
I was also like 16-tabling at the time I read it, so will give it a good read when I'm done for the day

LOL at being able to read 2+2 and comment while 16-tabling. Nice multitasking! The best I can do is mess with my ITunes while playing 6 tables.

I also Skype, AIM, Text, Twitter, and Facebook too! But definitely not simultaneously...that's where I draw the line

I don't think I've ever seen a woman treated badly in a casino game solely based on her gender... I've definitely seen excessive flirting.

Hopefully this the right place for this post.

I rarely, if ever, have been made to feel uncomfortable at a live poker table b/c I'm a woman. No negative comments, no gendered insults.

But has anyone else experienced this: Man starts swearing, drops the F-bomb, whatever. At another person, or just in a story. Dealer says "Watch your language, there are ladies present."

I always respond. I tell the dealer - and the table - loudly, "if it's your casino policy for no swearing, that's fine. but don't blame my presence on the implementation of the rule, and i'm perfectly comfortable hearing it, I chose to sit in the same F-ing game as them."

I think its important to consantly seek equal treatment, even when the issue in question has nothing to do with the actual playing of poker.

LOL at your great answer... but, let's not pass up the easy excuse to get some of those %#(*&(*&##$ to clean up their language, even if we're setting up a double-standard.
