I do not get the Hello Kitty thing, but to each their own, ldo.

I'd fly with a Star Trek or serial killer airlines. Well, not if the flight attendants were actual serial killers. That would be disturbing.

Serial killer themed, obviously. The flight attendants could all dress up like Dahmer and Gacy and Bundy, and the inflight movies are nothing but stuff like Se7en or Zodiac.

I'd fly on it. I'm a huge serial killer buff. I'm really not normal, am I?

not-so-girly: I build things, models and the like, as well as a life sized TARDIS and Dalek. Doctor who/sci fi probably counts as well come to think of it. Video games too, get obsessive over those, I will take on whoever mentioned starfox64, awesome game. I play werewolf? like 2 other girls do that down in pog. I watch car racing sports with a vengeance (f1, gt2, f3, indycar and the like). Science stuff as well (like most people on here I'd imagine) fascinates me, reading books about chemistry and physics and engineering. I recently bought a telescope as well which makes me very happy.

I have 5 brothers and no sisters so I have a lot of things that I don't do like wear make up, wear dresses, I've never played with dolls or anything and have a fairly "male" sense of humour.

girly: I bake by the bucket load, normal cooking less so but I still enjoy trying out something completely random (yesterday it was black pudding stuffed in pork chops wrapped in bacon, nom). I love looking at vintage clothes and rummaging through charity shops. I cross-stitch and knit and looking to learn to embroider soon. I do a lot of volunteer work with children too which is very female based. Oh, I also OBSESS over disney films. They make me happy to no end

There's nothing quite so amusing as a 8 lb. ball of fur showing me his fang face.
I am now forced to stop laughing at my 8 lb. ball of fur when he shows me his fang face. He demonstrated at his yearly vet visit yesterday that he's got the goods to back up his facade when he's scared/angry enough. Suffice it to say that all three of us (myself, the vet, and the vet tech) all ended up with scratches, Otis demonstrated how to get out of a little leather muzzle cone (which they attached when he started trying to bite), and he won the battle by only getting one shot and not two.

That was one seriously pissed off cat. I've never heard him growl before. All because he got wound up by the doctor trying to look into his eyes with a light.

/end derail.

LOL
This was my FB status as of 8am this morning:
"Just found myself outside in my backyard explaining to my cat that while it may be nice outside right now it will be too hot for her to be outside in a few hours and I'm about to go to bed. Then she started screaming holy hell when I picked her up to bring her in."

Growling and screaming cats FTW?

All I have to say is, thank God Otis decided to mangle my left hand instead of my right. He was FURIOUS and took down three adults. We couldn't hold him without fear of serious bodily harm.

He is the undisputed King of the Apartment.

Great story! BTW, I had no idea cats could growl. I'm a dog person... love kitties, but I'm one of those asthmatics with allergies.

Edited to add: not great that you were injured! duh

OMfreakingG I love that so much! That commercial is my absolute fav! Don't know that I'd have the balls to wear that though.

I'll live, they were in a couple of tender spots (the palm and the web of one of the fingers) but they weren't too deep. I may have embellished the story with the word "mangled".

Sorry you can't have the kitties.

Me too! I just re-watched Pocahontas-- what a good one. Atypical for Disney in a lot of ways. Also has great songs for singing in the shower.

Much to the dismay of my friends, I haven't seen Pocahontas (although I do know the songs just because). It's next on my list though!

Wow, it's been years since I've seen a Disney movie, but I'm suddenly tempted to hold a mini marathon while the bf is out of town this weekend

You gals are so funny.
I feel like I'm missing out on some secret understanding, because I absolutely (don't hate me) HATE cartoons. They are incredibly tilting for me to watch and I'm not even sure I can fully understand or explain why that is.

Not so girly obsession - Fantasy Football Any other ladies here into football?

Katie, can't say I've ever heard of such a thing - even when you were a kid???

I was going to post about this being my not so girly obsession! I've played FF for about (god, this is going to age me) 15 years and baseball for 12. I'm a major sports geek. My ex-husband used to whine about how much I watched ESPN.

HIM: "Can't we watch Scrubs now?"

ME: "No, Baseball Tonight is about to start. I need to see if my SP got the win and what his ERA was!"

How long have you played?

Absolutely love football (American). Well, football (soccer) as well. Actually, there's very few sports I won't watch, and I start off every day with SportsCenter.

So glad the lockout didn't cancel any meaningful games.

Who does everyone support in football? My team blows, but it is what it is (Cleveland Browns).

Have only played fantasy football once, though. I think it's more fun with a big group of friends and sadly, I don't have a big enough group of friends who love football to pull this off. The one time I did play was in the military, and was a blast (I won the regular season). It was the year Manning broke the single season TD record (he didn't hold it for long) and I had both him and one of his receivers. I rode Manning to victory!
