I guess my guilty pleasure is Bootie; although I'm not all that guilty about it, I really am shameless.

Booties (mashups) are combinations of songs. The former lead singer of my favorite band of all time - Adrian of Blue Period - has a club that is nothing but Booties, including a live band (Smash up Derby) that does live mashups. They do Bootie SF every week at the DNA lounge, and have occasional clubs in LA, NY and around the globe.

HA! thats great. And btw, I cant get into my car without chipping my nails, let alone handle poker chips and cards.

I've heard Shellac doesn't chip - and that was coming from someone who (like me) plays tons of tennis so there must be something to it. Want to try it but it's a tad on the expensive side - probably the only way I'd be able to keep polish on tho so it might be worth it!

That's what I'm into now-- but it still chipped (ok one smallish one on my thumb) after a week. Still a heck of a lot better than normal manis, and my toes still look pretty.

I also saw somewhere there are glitter hair extensions and it is a daily struggle to avoid looking for these online. Someone please stop me at this point if you see me with glitter hair.

Not so girly - I've got a ton of these, I've been a tomboy since I can remember (and my Mom, God bless here, didn't seem to care in the slightest), so from video games to watching sports (including MMA, football, lacrosse, and strong man competitions) to playing poker to being a sci fi geek, I've got a lot of "male" hobbies.

Girly - I do counted cross stitch, write fanfic, and indulge in lavender scented bubble baths. I also have more scented candles that one person could possibly need.

Edit: Oh, and a growing passion for watching competition shows on the Food Network. :P

Yeah, well, there's a lot of tomboy in me. I joined the Army (talk about your male dominated environments) and still often wear guys pants/jeans to this day.

I can't explain it (and don't usually try), boys toys and clothes and hobbies always just appealed more to me, and usually still do.

I spent most of my time with my two brothers growing up, so I'm in the same boat. I actually played lacrosse throughout highschool because they both did as well.

I was a total TOMBOY when I was little. Then went to Engineering school (4 girls in a graduating class of 400). Then enter a male dominated profession (biomedical engineering) and now I work for a male dominated company have a staff of 18 men.

I'm sorry to encourage you, Katie, but my sister-in-law LOVES glittery things. She ordered the glitter hair extensions on-line (the kind you tie on and are different colors - look like tinsel). She used to have them done at the salon, but said the price for bulk online was very good. She always wears them and can comb and wash her hair w/no problems and they last a long time. They look cute too!
