EPT Women's Event buy-ins - feedback request EPT Women's Event buy-ins - feedback request

Hi all,

We're seeking some feedback on our women's events. We've set our regular EPT women's event at €330 buy-in, with online qualification for a €1,100 package. Obviously this is best suited for women in Europe, but we hope to offer a bigger women's package for PCA and EPT Grand Final, and we're seeking feedback on the buy-ins for these tourneys.

The PCA Women's Event has always offered a $1100 buy-in and that is likely to remain the same, however the EPT Grand Final women's buy-in has varied. Our feeling is that a €1K Women's Event in Monte Carlo might get around 40 players while a €500 buy-in would likely get 80+ women.

So, for online qualifiers would you be likely to support satellites to Monaco for a €500 tourney with around €1500+ for travel and food, or would it be more appealing to play for a larger buy-in tourney and package?

Your feedback would be very much appreciated.

Joanne

Hi Joanne,

Thanks for posting here for feedback!

Personally, I'd like to see a larger package for a 1k EPT Ladies final (assuming that the package still has at least 1.5k for travel). I can justify the long travel time a lot easier for a higher buyin tournament.

Thanks!

I agree we need bigger packages, I also think Starting the PCA games in September would give more opportunities to win the package. If you do it in October it leaves just 2 months of qualifying as Oct and Nov. The Dec game may be late for the PCA as it will cost double for flights at the last minute, and hard to arrange time off if you work.

suggestion to run the main games every Saturday instead of Sunday, 1st 3 weeks at $55 to win a seat into the 4th game for $215 for a 3500 pkg. run the sat's like the ladies $55 regular game with $2.20 rebuys, $5.50, and $11.00 and for the main game maybe a $55 sat? Just my thoughts. Like Katie stated if we had bigger pkgs we can justify the cost of travelling a distance tytyty

Thanks for the replies. All good thoughts, and your points about bigger packages is noted.

We're also changing the terms for our current EPT Women's packages, so that anyone outside Europe who wins 2 x €1100 packages can combine them to use them for 1 seat, meaning more expenses for travel and hotel.

Great to hear this, thanks!

What about having Steps for the ladies events? These would be seats that you could win and be able to use for any EPT ladies or PCA ladies. If these were offered I would play them non-stop!

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll pass it on to the tourney team. It might depend on whether there are enough players to sustain Steps for this, good idea in principle though.

Just wanted to let everyone know we're trying out new lower buy-in sats and packages for EPT season 11. These just launched last Sunday.

There are presently €55 freezeouts each Sunday at 14:00 ET offering a guaranteed €550 Players Choice style ticket. Winners can choose which EPT to use this ticket for. The women's events will be €200+€20, except at the PCA and EPT GF, where they will be for $500+$50 and €500+€50 respectively (TBC).

The satellite tickets will be good for any of the women's events, and we will be flexible with the offer, if you win more than one of these tickets we will allow you to cash in a second ticket (for cash) when you use one to enter into an event. This should help with expenses.

The first satellite had a bit of an overlay, so do please tell your friends and support these tourneys so we can keep them going. If we can get enough players we may also be able to offer a Wednesday qualifier too. Hopefully we can continue to offer an online route to EPT Women's Events year round. Good luck if you're playing. :-)

Just wondering when the ladies PCA satellites are scheduled to start?
I noticed that the buy in this year was reduced to $600.00.

Are these no longer running? I'm in the US right now and I'm not sure if my client is displaying everything, but I'm not seeing any in the PCA lobbies.

Pokerstars has dropped the ball on the entire PSWomen initiative this year. It seems less like an oversight and more like an intentional decision on their part. I suspect it was related to the Amaya takeover, as they did away with the Pokerstarswomen blog and all women's-related content of any substance right around the time that deal went through this summer. It seems clear we are an expendable market.

IIRC, they dropped all this with no news or mention of it either. Just discontinued it and that was the end.
