I'm not really sure what happened with the mashed potatoes, and I know that whatever happened to them wasn't intentional. All I know is that they tasted like mashed potatoes but didn't really look like mashed potatoes. (Sorry about the no pic - need to do better at taking food pics.)

This thread took me a bit to find, which made me realize how much TWSS has grown over the past 2.5 years and how thankful I am to be able to participate and watch it grow as more and more women play poker!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Happy Thanksgiving all. I have nothing to contribute to this thread other than what I'm thankful for. I didn't cook because I had to work, so my in-laws, my hubby, and I ate at the nice steakhouse in my casino. I'm thankful I didn't have to cook.

This is gonna sound weird, but I'm thankful for Las Vegas. Living in San Diego, I get up to Vegas a lot, mostly for poker. well, This past week, I took a 3-day trip with my inlaws to Vegas...they haven't been there since 1969. Yeah, you read that right. NOTHING, literally NOTHING is the same, and I got to see Vegas through brand new tourist eyes. It was fun and odd at the same time. I mean, I can't recall the last time I saw the Bellagio fountains, or the Mirage volcano, or the Hoover Dam, or just wandered through Paris or the MGM Grand.

I'm also thankful for the seemingly endless number of soft games in Vegas. I was able to sneak away for one short cash session at Planet Hollywood, where I quickly made $200 in 1/2 NL in a couple of hours.

I'm thankful for almost being run over by Sheldon Adelson on his power scooter in the Venetian (I'm not even joking) because it woke me out of a tilt-induced fog (not poker-related) and allowed me to refocus on the Tuesday night green chip bounty tournament, in which i placed 2nd.

I'm thankful for my job as a prop, which has made really motivated to study and improve my game again. I had been in a rut, but I feel like I'm playing and learning so much better now...i hope it continues.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

For the first time I made Hanukkah brisket instead of turkey for Thanksgiving.
