After finding this thread a couple months ago I decided to get a coaching package with Grayson. So happy I did.

No bullshit, Grayson knows his stuff. I think alot of instruction these days really can over-complicate the game, if you're not careful you will get tied in knots. Thats where I was before lessons with Grayson. After about a month, he really got me straightened out and thinking properly about how to handle this game.

On top of all that, he is just a chill guy to talk with and get to know. He will give it to you straight and get your game sharpened up, no question. Would recommend him to anyone and will be taking lessons from him again in the future.

I have been playing poker for about 15 years, mostly home game and small stakes tourney. I have read all the good poker book available but it seems like my game has not improve. I was searching for a coach and found this forum. I reach out to Grayson, and he immediately contacted me and give me one hour assessment of my game complimentary. I find that he was very open to my questions, my approach on the hands that we discuss so I signed up with Grayson. After 4 sessions of coaching, it was time for my Vegas trip. I entered the WSOP circuit at Planet Hollywood event #1 and won my first ring and big payout. I have to give kudo to coach Grayson for helping me expanding my games and for go deeper in the hand analysis. Having Grayson review and analyzed my hands it also hold me accountable for my action and play smartly against my opponent. Definitely recommend Grayson for coaching your game, and good luck at the table.

I have been playing poker on and off for around 10 years. Decided at the end of 2019 to start trying to take it a bit more seriously, and stop slowly paddling my $$ around. Stumbled across this thread and reached out to Grayson.

Really enjoy our lessons, he has definitely helped me identify some weakness in my game and now I am starting to recognize the situations in the moment.

I went for a 10 lesson pack, and after lesson 8 I scored my biggest ever win, almost $4k.

Super happy with the coaching, and am continuing in 2020. Definitely recommend checking Grayson out.

I was beyond fortunate to find Grayson several years back, and I thoroughly enjoyed his coaching approach. I took some time away from the tables, reached back out at him, and have picked up, pretty much where we left off. His approach to the game is very strategic, and his teaching style allows you to learn at your own pace, while dropping great nuggets of information on the way. I would encourage anyone wanting to learn the game, or increase your knowledge in the game, there is no one else I would recommend.

Hi Grayson,

I emailed your gmail address just over a week ago but didn't receive a reply, could you check that you received? (email address has my username in it).

I appreciate there haven't been replies for a while so I wasn't sure if you were taking on students

Thanks!

However, he is very good at the tables as well, always keeping you up to date with the information on the fields, strategy, and so on. I am grateful to have known you for this one year period. Thanks, Simon! Always nice to hear kind words about myself off the felt as well. Best of luck to you and glad I've been a part of your journey.

If you've reached out and I haven't responded yet, I promise I will get to you soon! I've had a lot more requests than usual with the current lockdown situation. Feel free to DM me here/post in thread/e-mail me at gnichols22@gmail.com if I haven't gotten back to you or you want to set up a complimentary consultation.

It's been a great couple months for students, even I have gotten into the mix playing more with a close call in the Bet Online 250k this Sunday finishing just short for 6th place.

We're in a unique moment for online poker and there's a lot of money out there right now, so let's all get it together!

Look forward to hearing from you all, I will be taking on 2 new students during the entirety of May. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Best of luck,

Grayson

I've been working with Grayson about two months and it's been great!

I am about 50 years old and have been playing off and on for 20 years. Until now I've primarily focused on PLO8 and FLO8 with some success. As you all know it can be hard to find a game or tourney in either of those of flavors so I thought I should sharpen up my NL skills.

Up til that point I would often find myself in bad spots in NL hands where I wasn't sure where I was at by the turn and make a weak fold or bad call too often. I watched both Negreanu and Ivey's MasterClasses. I learned a bit from both but nothing compared to what I've learned from Grayson.

Grayson has improved all aspects of my game from starting hand selection, ranging opponents, to bet sizing plus a lot more. While this has all been very helpful in building a solid foundation the part I've enjoyed most is the hand history reviews (as others have noted).

Grayson's insights into actual hands have given me a lot to think about and really improved my game overall. We often discuss hands not just my perspective but also from the villain's, which has been particularly helpful. It is now much easier for me to figure out where I am on the turn/river after following Grayson's logical method earlier in the hand. I have cashed in several mid-high stakes tourneys online since I started working with him and my results generally improve every week.

Hey everyone, I want to post in here about my coaching experiences with Grayson.

I’ve played poker for about 14 years. During the early stages of my poker playing career I’ve had some great success with some good scores. I fell out of love with the game and concentrated on other aspects of my life before returning to poker about 5 years ago. I felt like the game had moved beyond myself and I was struggling with concepts & theories and couldn’t get anything going in tournaments becoming increasingly frustrated. I reached out to Grayson about a year and a half ago and have never looked back.

Grayson addressed the lessons professionally and analysed a few tournaments to fix any leaks within my game. More than happy I signed up for the long term. Grayson has an approach/methodology that adapts and fine tunes your game rather than changing it completely. He will not give you a set way to play or that you must follow line A because villain played B. He will constantly question your every move (in a good way) so that you can deal with any given situation that may arise on the table. It is literally impossible to cover every area of poker but with sound logical lines to exploit players I can adapt very well.

Poker is not just about turning up at the tables to play, but mental strength has a massive bearing on performance. Grayson has helped me out big time on the mental aspect of poker and my self-doubt. His experience in high stakes is priceless.

Although I’ve not had the big score yet, I know it’s only just around the corner after many deep runs!

On top of that Grayson is an all-round phenomenal guy! I now consider him as a friend. He goes above and beyond for his students, is very flexible and accommodating. I just wish I had started coaching earlier!

If you’re thinking about moving to the next level look no further!

Hi Everyone just some feedback from my lessons with Grayson, I signed up for the ten lesson offer and have just completed them. I have had many poker lessons from various people and sources over the years. I have read books watched videos etc, all with limited success. I can honestly say that the ten lessons I have had with Grayson have been the most useful and most enjoyable. I have been playing poker for approximately 10 years mostly online MTTs and Sit n Gos , I consider myself a reasonable player but as the saying go,s "you don't know what you don't know". Grayson has a really good way of approaching the game and helps you understand that each hand requires you to ask the right question so that you make the best decisions. The last ten weeks with Grayson have changed the way I approach the game and this has definitely improved my win rate which is the obvious acid test of any lessons. I have jut signed up for another set of ten lessons which I am looking forward to. If you want to improve your game I would most definitely recommend Grayson . Thanks Grayson

Hi everone,

Just wanted to leave some feedback here regarding Grayson's coaching. I've been playing poker since 2011. Due to other priorities, I haven't been playing as much the last couple of years, and my winrate was stagnating. Just like many of you I was jobless during the coronavirus lockdown. I decided to pick up poker again.

Luckily for my winrate, Grayson had a coaching spot available. We're nearing the end of our 10 sessions now, and I can confidently say my poker game is already far better than during my winningest years. (Don't know if that's how that adjective works but let's roll with it for now). It's so refreshing to have someone look at you making a play - that you believe is as orthodox as the pope's hat - and go: why? What is this open accomplishing for you?
His approach not only helped me assume a different perspective of the game, it also gave me the tools to have a plan in every single hand.
And that's something I've never had in poker. Even though I'm by no means "there" yet, the confidence I get from having a plan is reinvigorating, and is helping me boost my winrate.

Apart from helpful new poker concepts, you will also learn a ton of cool proverbs. So if you have a linguistic fetish, I'm sure that will be satisfied too.

Grayson, to you I want to say thank you for bringing me on a path where I'm seriously considering having poker as my main source of income for a couple of years. That's something I didn't think was possible a couple of months ago.

I've made some horrible misplays the past week, so I look forward to getting slapped in the face in our last couple of sessions :-).

I am posting a review for my student, Jack, who isn't a member on the site or big on computers. I appreciate the kind words from him and all of my other students, these testimonials mean the world to me.

"I found Grayson via the internet and wasn’t sure what to expect from a poker coach. I didn’t really understand the concept of “ranges” or “positions” and wanted to become a better player. Grayson has a logical approach to coaching through the analysis of hands that I have played. We talk them through together helping me understand what I did well, or where I went wrong and how I could have changed my approach. I find I am more thoughtful about how I play as a result of Grayson’s tutoring and I am winning more sit and go’s. Grayson is always open to answering questions and sending follow up materials. The lessons have been well worth it and I would highly recommend Grayson as a poker coach."

I'll be adding one new student per month (on average), so keep the e-mails coming. You can reach me at gnichols22@gmail.com with any questions or to schedule a complimentary consultation for serious applicants. If you are interested in coaching but not sure if it's right for you, feel free to e-mail me to sign up for my wait list for the coming months.

I look forward to hearing from you all,

After a profitable 2019 and a pretty big downswing in the beginning of 2020, I decided to give coaching with Grayson a try. I had coaching for 10 lessons from August- October. The ROI on this coaching was apparent very early on. When deep in big spots I felt more comfortable having a solid foundation to base my decisions on. Prior to coaching with Grayson, in certain close spots I felt as though I was using a best-guess approach rather than saving the spot and confirming with someone that is better than me if it was in fact the right decision.

In addition to the fact that I could go over spots with Grayson, he also helped fix a major leak in my game which was bet sizing. He taught me to stop over complicating spots, slow down and think about what you are trying to accomplish with each bet. I had previously been auto-cbetting a 33% sizing with every hand that I wanted to bet the flop with. I now have a solid foundation and the understanding of why I want to bet bigger on certain board textures with certain holdings etc.

Grayson has an approach to the game that teaches you to stop playing like a robot that does what every other player in the game is doing today and start trying to play contrarian in spots that allow you to exploit the player pool.

I will be continuing my coaching with Grayson in the near future and cannot recommend him enough. I've purchased training courses with upswing, max-value and bbz and none have come close to improving my game as much as these few months with Grayson have.
