Big hand on the flop, do you continuation bet? Big hand on the flop, do you continuation bet?

We flop a solid hand after three-betting pre-flop, but should we continuation bet it?

What ranges do you think he would be flatting a 3bet pre Shooter? I don't think I could really put him on AA, KK.. Perhaps JJ?

Tough hand regardless, I don't like just calling the flop. And like you mentioned I can't really see him making a bluff in this spot.

Would he make this play with a hand such as K10, or 910cc?

Hey TendGate,

The AA/KK I would put him on would be the occasional slow plays. Given how polarized our range could seem, he may slow play big hands a bit more often than if we were in later position and someone is five betting a bit wider of a range. That's just kind of a general preconception for the players at this limit. QQ and JJ are possible.

Why don't you like calling the flop? If we raise and are called, then I think we're in trouble; but, if we fold, I think we're denying ourself a good opportunity with enough odds from the pot to try to suck out or occasionally pick off a bluff that might give up once called on the flop.

I highly doubt most players call (or should be calling) with KT in this type of spot pre-flop. T9s might be a bit more common, but probably still loose. For both hands, I would think that they make up a very small percentage of his range. With what hands will he be bluffing? 99? AK? I'm not sure. But what I do think is that it's rare for a player at this limit to bluff with those hands and to call pre-flop with any hand that does poorly against AQ. That means the flop check-raise from this player is going to be very strong, on average.
