The adjustments and process parts should be valuable. Spots on population ranges specific for that time will be highly variable, discard those and figure out your own ranges for your own games.
If you want very accurate up to date ranges constantly, you'll need to be joining one of the top few stables that consistently update recommended ranges (requires a great deal of software work as well to do that).
