Hi,

I'm a HU SNG hyper (short stack) player who have never played cash games or tournaments. What would be the best live poker game for me? I think there's not heads up hypers live but i'm looking for the closest game to that so I can learn it quickly.

I'm so f_ing pissed that I learned the only poker game mode that isn't running live now that internet is dying.. But that's life I'm still quite young so I might be able to learn a new game mode.

I have no idea what game modes are running in casinos here in Finland but probably not huge difference to other countries.

This sounds a bit rushed on your end. You don't know what live poker games are offered in live casinos near you, but you felt it worth a post asking which game you should learn?

I'd venture to guess you went on a downswing and are frustrated and grasping at straws here.

To answer your question, short handed NL stuff. But much of live play is just full ring poker, so it's not necessarily what is closest to where you're at now, but where the opportunity is. Smart poker players that want to maximize their earnings are always keeping an ear out for an opportunity. Whether it was hu cash 5 years ago (when you could bumhunt to the extreme and find fish at any level with no risk) or MTTs or Spins or PLO at various times. So you do have to answer what is popular near you and what does the soft money play. Find that out.

More importantly, what's going on with you and HUSNGs? What isn't working? There's no reason a solid player shouldn't be making fine money from grinding HUSNGs today, so let's start there, you won't magically resolve an issue by switching games.

I wasn't on downswing, I was getting 3 games of action in 3 hours that day. The other part I didn't even understand. Yes I felt asking I thought forums are meant to that.

Thank you for the answer! At the moment HU SNG's are okay, not much action some days but still OK. The thing is I'm not only thinking about the present but also a future. Like Jackstack said there is a good probability that big sites remove HU SNG's completely (to get people raking super-high raked spins). I am in a situation where I am seriously thinking about my life choices, yes I am making good money from SNG's but I'm also studying business in top a university here. Right now making money from poker and sports betting has been my pririty #1 but if the future is too uncertain it might be better to focus on school on become a lame accountant or something like that lol.

Not arrogant, it just came off as short sighted to ask what live games are best for you to play without even knowing what the more popular ones might be in your area.

I cannot imagine it being likely that the main sites remove HUSNGs. Unless there's a link out there from a rep on any of the sites, I can't imagine it's even close to a 10% chance in 2019.
