For how many years do you think is possible to make 3-5k$+ in poker in whatever format before games really die out?

Re: THE WELL: JACKSTACK99

What would you estimate your evROI vs recreational players are at HU hypers?
I kinda find it fascinating how, at spins, there seem to be some regs really making their dough out of really slaying these fishes, knowing how to put them in spew-spots, whereas there is also guys edging hard on less good regs, whereas they don't really focus on increasing that maxEV edge vs the fish (since it's clearly is two different strats to maxEV vs different opponents).

Also, can you promise to stream sometime soon?

I like your no-snooze goal. I'm gonna add it to my routine, but I need to have a terrible punishment for the days I fail. Any suggestions?

Lastly, when a guy sits you and you have zero intel on him skillwise, do you start from GTO perspective being balanced with preflop freqs etc, or do you start of bashing on him until he shows some signs of good poker thinking?

Nice thread, I like your life-approach.

it heavily depends on what stakes your playing. i play 200-500 hu hypers and im getting only like 40-50 games in an 8 hour grind. the games are very very slow. if you play 100s or 60s and below then the games run a ton more but im not sure how much you can get in an 8 hour period probably over 100

3-5k is super easy as long as you have the right guidance, help, and decent work ethic. its hard to say really about when the games will die out soo badly that you cant even make that. i dont think that will happen anytime soon as spins and mtts there still a huge potential to make great money if you are a learning machine and you grind long hours

my ev roi in hypers against recreational players is above 6 percent, trying to push up to 7 percent, and yes i agree with what you say that ppl have different focus in game and different approaches esp in spins. some players dont do well vs regs and destroy the fish, and some others vice versa. you really just want to be the absolute best on both ends.

about the streaming i wont promise anything but i will stream at some point but likely that i wont be streaming consistently

the no snooze goal is great ya, yes if you press the snooze button then pay a friend 50 dollars. but you have to be honest with yourself and your friend. and in the mornings if you know that pressing that snooze button will cost you 50 dollars you def will not press that button haha

i treat any random as if they are a fish and play very exploitative against them, if i sharkscope them and they have good numbers or i know they are a reg then i am taking a gto approach

appreciate the kind words and thanks for the questions!!!!!

i didnt take the twitch streams down on purpose, people have been asking me about it. twitch i think just deletes old videos after a while. i keep saying this to everyone but eventually i am gonna be on there again but not very consistently, it will be like a once a month thing for me

good question, id say at 60s you want to be 55+ and at 100s you want to be 50+ longterm. the goal is always to get to 60 chips tho

Why not to play on partypoker that now has a decent rakeback?

If you started playing poker today, which format would you choose?

Re: THE WELL: JACKSTACK99

who do you think would win in a fight between akis and robocop?

who in your time has been the biggest waste of talent, ie crushed the games then just went awol of degened it all off and quit etc

if u had to move out of canada were will you plan to go??

if u had to live with me for a year but make $100k guaranteed and follow my lifestyle habbits for that year, or a year with jason, and his lifestyle habbits but break even what would you pick LOOL

would u ever transition to MTTs rather than get a job if HU and spins just somehow dissapeared, semi hypothetical question.

and as always thanks for your continued terrible non use of technology and not multiquoting LOL il show u tomo on skype how to do it or this gonna end up a 180 page well with 3 questions per page (as kobmish suggested) be better for the fans

how much do u lie about having a sore throat on a scale of pinnchio to donald trump in order not to stream?

THE WELL: JACKSTACK99 thats all brother glgl

joining team 651 is a full proof way to do both hehe. Reaching 60 spins i would have to say even though the games have gradually gotten tougher. i still think its easier to reach 60 spins then hu hypers because the hypers have cartels that you have to battle through

i like pokerstars way better. Ive never played on partypoker so im not the best person to ask, but rakeback is not everything. Its also the volume of games you can get in and your winrate that matter way more then rakeback does.

if i started playing poker today i would choose spins or mtts. they seem close to me but for sure the only two formats that are alive and kicking right now. the rest of the formats are drying up

lol i dont know who robocop is so im not able to answer this question

mann soo many people did this its sad. Soooo many ppl at the top of the game just fell off either becasue they quit or because they stopped learning. i always preach continous learning is the key to success. I dont want to call names out or anything but there were plenty of ppl

i would go to bali or malta. i like warm laid back chill places. id like to go to australia as well. anywhere warm and relaxing would do well for me

lol id have to take the money and live with you, but id be pretty scared about the entire situation. i would probably fly through 100k on liquor alone. but atleast i would eat like a king!!!!

yes absolutely i would, i love playing poker and if those other games were gone and i can be an mtt boss i would jump into it head first

i have no idea what your talking about with the multiquoting. #standard

haha no lies man, my throat is like floyd mayweathers hands. it can perform once every couple of years then needs to head back into retirement until i feel ok again haha

thanks big boss gl to you!!!

Re: THE WELL: JACKSTACK99

What would be the minimum/decent hourly to have if you're a full time player? Taking into account of growing the roll, cashing out for living etc but you're putting in 30+ hours of grinding per week?

Your opinion of spin grinders win rates since the rake back changes? My own win rate has shot up despite rb used to make up around 20-25% of my winnings. I imagine a lot of the guys who were mediocre grinders at their stakes have had to move down or quit altogether if they didn't work harder since the changes.

Does spins have a future? Stars keep adding these new games that's gonna attract the recs like spins max and this new power up poker, do you think it's still worth putting time into the game or getting coaching to grind the games for 2 years+?

Thanks jack, you legend.

this first question depends on your expenses and what your trying to accomplish with poker. are you trying to get ahead or just pay your bills to get by

exactly this ya some ppl have to move down because they cant make enough money without rakeback to justify staying at there stake. soo what happens is that the great players will benefit from it and the mediocre players will be pushed out

yes absolutely spins have a future, if your willing to put in the hours and have the work ethic it takes to be successfull at them. If pstars comes out with a new game then you will easily be able to switch to it if you have mastered spins. If you can master one format its likely that you will be able to be great at another format with some adjusting and coaching

im not religous at all. I dont consider myself a very spiritual person but i do enjoy watching videos on stoicism and i do practice certain aspects of it in my everyday life as much as i can. also i meditate everyday for 10 mins i know its not much but i enjoy that time.

i think its likely that we are living in a simulation, but at the same time i dont think it matters that much either way. life is great

i have no idea what white magic is lol
