- do you play stars only?
- have you battled for each division on your way to 500s, or did you skip some?
- on stream you said, that you have played about 20k games against the 1k group. whats the reason you currently dont play them and do you think you will enter this group soon? also how many games did it take for you to get in "lower" divisions?
thanks in advance and also thx for the latest streaming. it was very helpful and i would love to see you more streaming
i would advise them to read mental game of poker part 1 and 2, that will help with perspective. ive become mentally strong from a combination of reading books and adapting a great mindset/prespective and also by going through a lot of bad runs and gaining experience and becoming numb to it. i was never a tilting machine but i did have some tilt episodes and some bankroll management issues very early in my career, luckily for me i was able to stop those immidiately. its a terrible feeling when knowing you shouldnt be playing in certain games and then playing them anyways and going broke. bankroll management just "feels" better and you will have less mental swings, thats something i got great at early in my career and always was very conservative when moving up in stakes
bots are a danger only if pokerstars allows them to continue playing on there site, they have done a pretty good job at banning a lot of them so i dont see it as a major issue as of now
yes i only play on pstars
i was playing 500s even before divisions were created, but i was one of the few who battled regs even before divisions were created. back then anybody sat wherever they wanted too but i played certain regs anyways because i believed i can beat them and had an edge, and also very ego reasons back in the day. So when the original 500s group was created i was naturally in there because ive been playing those games forever and defending the lobbies even before we made divisions
i played about 20k games and ran about 200k under ev, so i instantly went on a 200k downswing and also i was getting crushed in the stock market during the same period of time. and at the time i went back to new york for a week to visit family and when i came back, there were two new players shooting for 1ks who ppl thought were bots. i figured there was no point in continuing to get to 1ks becasue even if the original 1k regs decided to let me in, then the bots would likely play me 12 hours a day anyway, and also we werent sure that pstars was gonna do anything about the bots and a couple of 1k regs even moved down to 500s. So i decided to go back to 500s. and about a month or two after those two players were banned from pstars.
