Don't have an exact figure for this so its pretty tough to say with taxes and everything. Probably around 1.5 afer taxes like 1m? Against thats a pretty rough estimate. My cousin is as advisor at Wachovia and has talked with me and helped me understand how the market works. I invested at the beginning of the economic crisis so it hasn't worked out too well, just have to give it time.

The meaning of life is a question a simpleton like me couldn't begin to tackle. But I'll try and pass on a few small words of wisdom. It isn't the possessions you have or the wealth you gain, but the memories you create with the people you care about. I'm still really close with alot of my friends before I had money and those are the ones I wouldn't trade for anything. Ignorance is bliss..ehh I don't really buy it. I think that alot of people lose perspective and take things forgranted as gain more knowledge/earn more money. However, there are alot of people in this world who just get it. They are successful, happy and well-grounded. Sure they probably couldn't strive to all they can and be happy, but pursuing their goals didn't make them forget what truly matters.

I'm not very relgious. My sister is very close with the church and is probably the best person I know. I desperately want to understand her faith and where it comes from but its tough to sell myself on believing in something without cold hard facts. I still try to live my life caring for others and helping out less fortunate when possible, but part of me wishes I would just understand religion. Maybe I will read a book my friend Nick recommended to me to give some of the answers I'm looking for.

I don't really have that many insecurities. You either like me or not and I'm not going to be someone I'm not just for the approval of others. I did however used to be in pretty good shape from playing tennis and being active alot of the time. Poker has really hurt me getting out there and playing sports, so I would have to say my weight. While I'm not that fat, I'm certainly not in the shape I used to be..so thats something I will be working hard to improve before the end of the year (I hope at least..weight loss prop anyone?)

hey

im playing 400 to 600nl hu and already making 25k/month, i played some husng and i think this could be a good idea to add a few of them into my grinding routine, do you think its a good idea or shall i try to move up to higher stakes?

I Was used to play with 50bis for cg hu , then took a shot way underolled and ran bad, now im a big of a BR nit and i dont feel safe without 100bis for a limit.

What bankroll would you recommand for husng 500s ? the 1Ks? the 5ks ?

What videos would you recommand me to make the transition from cg to sng? do you think its a good idea long term? (Im interested in learning more about husng)

There is the 500$ FTOPs hu tournament coming soon (15th of august), structure is 15/30 and 10Min blinds, whats the best strategy to approach it?

Croix,

Appreciate you taking the time to do this. Here's my question:

Scenario:

Villain is a winning reg that you're playing for the first time.
10/20 blinds, full stacks.
Villain was playing pretty straight forward but now seems to be 3betting your pfr's more often. Nothing has gone to showdown so you don't know how light he's 3betting you.

At this point, what is your range for flatting the 3bets? Range for 4betting him? Range for 4bet shoving? Range for 4bet/calling a shove?

I'd be willing to do a weight loss bet, but it would have to be losing body fat percentage, and we would negotiate a number both of us would have to achieve, not to mention even if I did win the bet I'd just win back hustled golf monies.....

If you're making 25k/month as is at cash games thats pretty impressive..congrats! I am a bit of a bankroll nit as well, so I would say 100 BIs for each level would be pretty solid. I would hate to have a bad feeling if I ran unfortunate over a few sessions and lost half of my roll. I think its player dependent and I'm like you, so 100 minimum is a pretty good start.

I think alot of players have benefited from the videos at HUSNG.com. Coming from a cash game background, you will understand alot of the key concepts of husng's..especially early level play. If you feel your struggling at under 30bb's and its a reoccuring problem, I would probably get a coach for a few sessions to work exclusively on that. From the sound of things you can easily afford it and you want to plug any leaks you might have in the early going.

I would probably just play your normal game and see how that takes you. Even though it is only one heads up tournament, you are going to get alot of good competition and be able to better understand where you might need improvement. If you are killing is at 400 and 600nl, you are doing alot of things right and just need to see for yourself what situations you are and aren't comfortable in. Good luck!

Tough question. Alot of it for me is going to depend on game flow. I would probably start flatting 3bets with a wider range (hands like J9ss and KTdd). This really depends though on if I get a feeling my opponent is card racking it or hes really loosening up his 3betting range. Alot of that for me just comes through instinct, kind of tough to explain. I might be 4bet shoving hands like 88-JJ against this player because I don't think that can ever be considered bad if hes been opening his game up and I am curious to see how he responds to the first one. I might 4bet super light sometimes and fold to a shove or 4bet snap call a shove depending on if I think he has a real hand or might be trying to make a move. Since hes a regular player I'd assume he would know a little bit about how I would play and try to do a few things I might not be used to. I wouldn't keep folding though and auto give him credit for it everytime.

Very tough to answer though because I won't have a standard line against this situation.
