Of the regulars..I probably wouldn't want:

Adonis/livb
Skilled
Jovial Gent/Bballer
BCM11
Dibasio

M@D thrown in there too probably

what car do you drive

also which players do you talk to on a regular basis that you feel have helped your game?

and what do you do to improve your game month on month, is there a concious effort to do x amount of whatever method of study each month? Or is it more of an unstructured thing.

do you think you can improve more?

what would you say are the biggest differences between the $100> $200s (if any) and the difference between $200s and $500s (reg speeds).

thanks very much

heh..I still drive a 2001 Chevy Cavalier. I don't spend money on myself much at all really. Hopefully I just decide on a whim to go out and get something nice..we'll see.

I talk/have talked to to Predator13, Iftarii, Chek, and M@d@ a decent amount about hands/strategy in the past amongst others.

Its pretty unstructured..alot of it comes from just conversing with friends about how things are going and weird/troublesome spots. Alot of information comes on talkng about a certain opponent we both play and what strategies would be most successful to employ against them. Hopefully I will continue to learn more from posting here and talking about different situations that arise.

DEFINITELY! I will never be the perfect player. Heads up regulars are getting better and better as they collect more information. To keep in top form, you have to constantly be ready to change your ways of thinking. While I feel I've built a good gameplan of beating most players, it is far from perfect and I'll always continue to try and make it better.

I haven't played any 200 regular speeds for awhile so it is tough to say for me in the current landscape. I remember back in the day when I made the jump it was number of matches I could get off. There were alot more 200s that would go off than 500s. I would mostly just game select 500s and had to keep a close eye out for bad players on tilt to sit, something that didnt matter as much at 200s.

Haha, I still have my '99 cavalier but I'm trying to sell it. Most unballer car ever, especially if you're tall (you're a bit tall no?).

Poker has changed quite a bit. I remember when regulars fighting for lobbies wasn't really an issue. Sometimes there were 10+ matches going on at once at 500+ and now thats a rarity. I don't really think the level of competition playing the regulars has changed tremendously as I think alot of us still get pretty soft action most of the time. It just hurts that the volume has declined. Live poker has suffered as well. Non WSOP 10k buyins have really been hit hard. Still, in any form of poker you are going to have below average players so it still isn't all dried up.

Yeah I'm about 6'2". I have 2 huge dents in my car that have gone unfixed for 2+ years. The first one I had no control over. I parked my car before heading to EPT Dortmund at a lot recommended by my mom in Pittsburgh. When I got back to the lot from the airport I saw a huge dent in my passenger door. It was snowing heavy back home so I'm guessing some jackass or a snow plow ran into it and just didn't leave a note or anything. Pricks.

The second dent came from me pulling out of a parking lot after the bar. We were there for about an hour and I got in with my other friends still in the lot about to get into their cars (no I was not drunk). I'm backing up and forgot I parked pretty close to a dumpster..obv crunch. My friends thought it was hilarious. There were a few other random kids walking somewhere who saw it and just gave me a 'really..you just did that..' kind of look. All I can say about that dumpster is that ****er came outta nowhere.

You seem chill/down to earth, I'm impressed.

- Do you feel like if you played yourself, you could exploit the **** out of tendencies you have, or do you play a very range balancing style?
- How often/when do you like to overbet shove postflop, and why?

So far it sounds you made such an easy transition from small to high stakes, with fellow high stakers/friends who help eachother and obviously don't play eachother.

I'm curious what bumps you had except the big going broke experience. Were there any tough regs that kept sitting you despite your good stats? Are some of them your friends now?

Thanks.

It would be tough to say..I would make on the fly adjustments against an opponent who played an exact style as I do. I would try to stay ahead by trying to think of what adjustment they would be making but in the end it would probably be breakeven if we both adjusted appropriately. Against opponents who I know play fairly well and I play semi regularly I will balance ranges alot more than a player I know I'm only going to get one shot at. Against the latter, I'm trying to let him hang himself and make as few mistakes as possible. This isn't as easy against a competent player and I will show up with more interesting hands and play things a little more unconventionally.

I don't really overshove postflop against most players. I do however use the overshove preflop when I can feel a bad opponent tilting. I will usually make a huge 3bet and I've found that these players will get it in with super random ****. I don't like playing small pocket pairs like this too much as I don't really like getting in flips when I have a pretty big edge, but will do it with 88+, AK, and AQ. You must know going in though that the player is tilting pretty heavy and will call off really light. I will make a big committing raise postflop when I flop a huge draw and don't mind getting it in versus anyone (e.g. J9hh on a 875hh board). All of this depends on pot size though as I won't be making a giant raise if its at 10/20 blinds but will still feel comfortable getting it in. Are there any troublesome hands you are thinking about in particular?

i'm just getting started in HU...

When you get to the point in the game that you know that aplying continuous pressure by 3beting 3x in a row, raising pre 4x in a row, etc... just for tilt inducement, changing game flow, etc, is game +ev and you get got because eventually he gets a hand during one of those spewy times, does it still make you think : "why the f* did i do that?" or are you always confident that you did well?

Yeah, my english sucks... hope you get my point.

Not really too many bumps..I'm sure I had downswings at the time that sucked, but nothing really that took me too far offtrack. I do have some friends that I did play a few times before but one way or another we stopped playing each other and started talking. BCM11, ps24242 (COCOMIEL on FTP), HotKarlMC, and livb come to mind.

Congrats! I do remember watching the updates sweating you a little bit.

As for AC, I always forget to bring nice shoes to get into Murmur..so if you're a size 13 that would be greatness..I promise I'll bless them.

2..one was returned to Paster and one I just ran out of time. I did ship him 70 bones when it cost 50 and it recently broke so I guess he got the slightly better end of the deal. It was a great headset though..so maybe I had underlying intentions.

If I 3bet my opponent 3 times in a row, and I know that he's going to be shoving light the 4th time I do it and have a hand like AJ that turns into the nuts for me, I won't be too upset if I run into the top of his range and he has QQ, KK, AA, AQ, or AK. Its very important in heads up not to be results oriented because the reality is that everyone is going to run into coolers and suffer downswings. Its how you cope with them and play through the tough times that determine how far you can make it in poker. If I think i might've misread his range and am convincing myself of seeing something that isn't there, I'll talk to someone about it or would post it online and see what my peers think. If I read it correctly and it was just a cooler I won't lose any sleep over it.

Your english isn't that bad!
