Yes, been a vegetarian for 3.5 years now, although really more of a pescetarian - I eat seafood. I'm 23. Calling A2 vs. 50% opener, jamming vs 75% (even if only 10 hands in).

2) let's say somebody berates you on chat and keeps rematching you, do you play him to kick his a$$ or look for a new opponent? (let's also say you dont have a significant edge over him)
3) what is your best video about superturbos on HUSNG.com? One you are proud of in terms of educational quality?
4) some common ST spots where ppl make mistakes a lot?
5) last one - is it possible to be a winning player at 1 level and a loosing one just a level above? (talking about 30$-60$, 60$-100$ 100$-200$ transitions not 2000$-5000$)

thanks for the answers
1) Going to be a boring list, livb (clearly the GOAT even though he always didn't care enough not to play poorly vs me), R-Q, h2olga, and the other two would probably be people I don't have as much experience with.
2) In STs I likely keep playing because action is action and I like to put in a big volume. In turbo/reg there's more of an opportunity cost.
3) I'm really proud of all my powerpoints. I think they're difficult to do well because people much prefer watching gameplay than the meat and potatoes but I think viewer feedback has shown those to be some of my most popular.
4) People's still tend to be poor with basic preflop ranges and that's the pervasive leak for a lot of people.
5) Sure.

Bleh can't think of any questions atm, will find some later. Great well so far though, and your vids/forum coaching is def solid.

I had my major BR at FT. I was a $55's hu sng's regular player when FT license was suspended(starting from $5's games) and poker was my main source of income. I didn't played a single hand after june 29th. What do you recommend me, start grinding on other site (ex.stars) from lower games or waiting to see what's gonna happen with FT?

Did you ever felt that your social life is affected by poker?

How much time was needed for you to jump from midstakes($50-$100's) to $300's+ games?

How many hours on average do you play per week?
I'll be taking a break from online poker. If FTP comes back, I'll be snap withdrawing everything, and as a US player will likely not be allowed to play. I'd recommend you move on to a new site at least in the meantime.

Poker has a massive effect on social life and you have to be really careful about that balance.

It took me forever to move up from $100s to $300+, it was a big mental block from me. Once I hit $100k profit lifetime I was able to just go do it but I probably cost myself a lot of money by waiting until then. Thanks to filthyvermin for bankrolling my early higher stakes efforts and getting me to see that I would have success playing higher, that had a big impact.

Average hours per week varied a ton over time, as many as 40/week in a month (lol real job) and as few as 5/week in a month (lol laziness).

I basically stopped scoping people, it does make a lot more sense for a one tabler. It's also AGAINST THE RULES YOU FILTHY CHEATING SCUM. Definitely don't make too much of positive stats - if someone's really good, you'll know it from what other people who are really good say, not necessarily from a lot of profit beating fish.

Or is this a BR issue
I have more money than I currently know what to do with (been giving 10% to charity, 30k so far, and I suspect I'll give more once I settle into a more longterm life situation), so not a BR issue.

Live poker was fun the last 6 weeks but money making potential was definitely diminished and would not have enjoyed it as much in the long haul.

Your spidey senses need work, obv.

Am I washed up? Also, I plan on putting a ton of volume one week in at 50 hypers and getting a big sample and looking through PT for leak before hopefully smoothly transitioning back to midstakes. I'm not really sure exactly what I should be analyzing though. Any suggestions?
EV-adjusted results at different blind levels/positions is a good place to start.

20bbs, how do you play each of these hands vs 70% opener... 75% opener.

t7o, k2s, k8s, 54s, 96o, q7s
I'll give you one sneak peek (don't ask for more) into one of the types of advanced analysis we've been doing over in the FastTrack forum. Here's a table of expectation for jamming over a 70% opener (given some assumptions)

So of the hands you list, we have to compare expectation from jamming to expectation from flatting (expectation from folding is -1.0bb in this framework).

T7o: -0.7bb
K2s: -0.5bb
K8s: -0.2bb
54s: -0.4bb
96o: -0.8bb
Q7s: -0.4bb

All of these are pretty close decisions. Only 54s really stands out as a jam. I think T7o, Q7s, K8s are more on the flat side, with 96o and K2s just about borderline.

I'm not sure I understand this question. I know what I'd do in most situations readless, and I adjust that when reads come in.

How did you make the transition from being lazy at school to being hardworking at poker?
It wasn't hard. I was lazy in school because I had a really hard time seeing how grades would help me accomplish what I wanted to accomplish from school. In poker it's very clear that hard work leads to money.

The article I wrote on flawed reasonings gets into this a bit, and more generally, just realizing which spots are going to be indicative of big leaks and which spots are just dessert thinking because of how uncommon they are.

livb is obv the husng GOAT but since we never got many games in where he decided to play particularly well, that honor probably goes to R-Quaresma.
As for worst reg in high stakes...I don't know. I have a pick, but I don't see much need in publishing it (good regs will tend to find bad regs without people like me calling them out, especially after the fact when they can't even do anything about it.

I will share a story that has to do with that reg, though. He IMed a friend of mine late at night, and had this to say:

like honestly
my head is hurting i honestly like u a lot ur one of the only 2p2ers besides myself i lik
can i honestly walk u through this hypothetical scenario i imagined today when i was really wasted today

[redacted] 5:07 am
ok so for some reason u and i are in vegas and we are in vegas and we are getting comepletey wasted we are getting so hammered and im up like 20 gs and its all my money and im sharing it with u and its u and me sitting at the bar and merseneary is there to
and we are shooting dice playing slots blackjack everything we cant lose we are just getting wild im staking u
i take on all the loss and give u 100 percent of the profits but we just cant lose so it doesnt really matter
[redacted] 5:09 am
and were just having the best time ever and merseneary gets jealous of how good a time were having gambling so we just throw him in a garbage can and leave him in it it then u and him never talk again and that was that
and the funny thing is we still dont know if we like or hate each other but we just know we like gambling and drinking and hate merseneary
I'm happy to not have been found in a ditch yet. Or a garbage can, I guess.

Wish you all the best in anything you endeavor to do and I'm really happy for you and your opportunity.

I'm sure I will have more questions as this well progresses but I'll throw a couple of lame ones at you straight up.

1. What is the worst you have ever tilted? What caused it? What ensued? (You always have the appearance of complete stability so I wanna hear about you smashing your keyboard or something!)

2. What do you think made the transition from reg speeds -> turbos -> ST's seem like such a breeze for you? I know this Q is whiffy, but you did it so damn successfully and I failed so miserably.

3. As a mod, who has been the most annoying poster you have come across?

4. Do you know you're the only person who has given me an infraction? FU!

5. I hate this question in wells it's super lame, but I'm gonna ask it anyways because I respect your opinion so damn much and won't get this chance often... What are your honest thoughts on my game? biggest weaknesses? (I know we haven't played that much, but probs enough for you to have an idea + vids and just general chit-chat I guess).

OK, I'lll be back later for more super lame questions!
mjw. I've said this before and I'm sure I'll say it again but your attitude about poker is phenomenal. How have you not had at least one douchebag moment?

1. I've tilted pretty hard due to life things that had nothing to do with poker. I've never smashed a keyboard but I've dropped money drunk and angry. I'm human and don't argue that people should try to become inhuman, just manage their human-ness better.

2. I struggled at first, especially with reg speed to turbo. I just studied and ran better. You should try to run better

3. I get to ban the ones who are really annoying! waterblank was up there but eventually became very clearly a ban.

4. yeah you deserve to be banned by now too.

5. lol you know you can ask me this question any time on AIM, right? If I had to guess based on what I've read from you, I think you believe some postflop barrel offs and get it ins to be standard when they might not be, but that's a pretty fuzzy guess. You've played well when we've played each other.

I got a lot of help from i just LOLd, spamz0r, rumnchess, PrimordialAA, filthyvermin, and others (I'm sure I'm forgetting someone obvious as I try to turbo through these) on messenger.

I think HH review with a chat wrap-up is honestly one of the best ways. Often in live sweats the student morphs their play based on what the coach is saying but it's hard to connect that back to realizing what they'd do wrong without the coach. So getting raw HHs from solo gameplay and then talking about them is often a really good way.

chadders is one of many absolutely phenomenal students I've had who has made my life as a coach really cool. Currently there's a house in Spain with a few other students, and just so many of them have done so well coming to the program humble and hardworking and making so much out of it. I'm really proud of what they've been able to accomplish and I think it says as much about them as students and poker minds as it does about me as a coach.

Keep crushing chadders

I can't commit to the WW game yet, but I suppose it's not that big of a time commitment since I'm SURE to get lynched early this time. Maybe I'll use my Sol Reader gimmick account to sign up instead.

Not really sure about a story. +20k probably for best day, in terms of BI I had a 30BI day once at the 200s. Best sex probably either the occasions when we've been on vacation somewhere really nice (Swiss Alps comes to mind. One of my biggest early baller purchases was a really nice hotel in Meiringen in the Alps and that led to some really good memories). Other memorable experiences were really unexpected times where I didn't see it coming, that can be a lot of fun.

Is poker taking a definite backseat to this job, even in the event of re-openings?

Did you seriously consider moving out of the country at any point?

Do you think there will be a change in the preference of major game away from Hold 'Em, say in 20 years? (Didn't people used to play 7-stud?)

Do you wish you'd done anything differently?

Would you continue to play poker if the only game available was full ring?

Strategy quest

When we are on riv and we have under pot size bet behind. We have hand for value, but it isn't nuts, but we see little value there. A lot ppl advice here is shove or check, never small bet/fold, I'm trying figure it out, but im not sure.

for ex.
we 3bet with K10dd because he opens a lot and calls 3bet pretty wide
K95ss we cbet, 6x we barell, 2s
we open A8
A109 cbet, 2x barell, 7x

just never saw advice like small bet/fold when we have under pot size bet, why? ppl even not asked about tendencies etc, but this is massive advice

Yeah those are awkward spots, just going to depend on how stationy villain is and how often our opponent will turn a made hand into a bluff if we bet small.

What increased your tilt threshold the most?
To the point variance hardly affects your play and more important your mood in life. Was it the volume that killed tilt or the hours of study that built confidence back when it was lost?

Congratulations mers on all your accomplishments, now going back to watch some of your vids
