value w/ bottom pair on paired board? value w/ bottom pair on paired board?

Villain was defending to my 3bets real wide (he folded once), but was on the passive side postflop. He played his hand quite face up, esp. with his value range. He checked back a lot of flops, both dry and semi-wet, and mainly gave up after. (like 56Jss)

My thought process for leading was that since he was checking back so much i was missing value by checking, and that he might float a bigger range on a paired board (should have bet smaller btw). Also, if he checks back (which he's doing w/ anything but a K or an 8 i think), whats our plan for the turn/river? His range is super wide so he will be checking back the turn a lot as well, and if an overcard to my hand is dealt, again i'm unsure.

thoughts?

i don't like 3betting this at all. 3betting wide for value might be fine, but you just cannot extract any value postflop with this hand.

    i like 3bet given reads
but wtf... u have the nuts post and dont want to bet !?

bet like 190 or so, 300 is To BIG, good stack sizes if he wants to ship over, pot will be 600 and ull have 800 left
expect tons of floats from passive players, and be happy with that

ya for sure bad sizing. Is there ever a reason to bet that big (like 75% or psb)? What board textures/opponents are you doing that against?

I know, super general, but still..

~depends if u are playing a balanced range or just whats best for your hand
in most occasions the latter is better
u may have a drawy board where u want to get more value from draws that villain wont ship over, or u may be trying to build a big pot to jam turn and get more calls/folds, or u want to induce and think a bigger cbet will do that
