on the tournaments tab there is a drop down menu where you can switch between "by tournament" and "by time". By time will tell you your actual hours played.

^ thanks, I'm an idiot

And I realized I harsh cheated cuz I usually have sessions until ~1-2am and it counts them as my day too. I'll be posting 12am-12am now instead of 12am-2am next day now

First losing day in 2 weeks, I am not going to complain but still can't help thinking: is this the begining of a big downtrend?
didn't play well, pushed my hands too hard, didn't run well neither. And probably played too much too (for me). oh well, not the end of the world.

HEM Hours: 2.0h

Notes: Just as soon as I catch up on volume, another low day - I didn't get enough sleep too tired to play much and gym took a few hours out of the day and made me even more tired! Most games were lengthy too, avg 10 mins in turbos! Decided to play like a huge nit. Looked back at my HEM for the time when I was crushing and seems my stats have all crept up somewhat since them, reckon I've been playing too loose for my skills. So nitting it up for a while and see how that goes

My approximation:
8-10 HEM hours is crazy sick, 6-8 is sick, 4-6 is standard, less than 4 is lazy or part time.

format doesn't matter.

Sick volume is probably the reason why the average poker players' career is only 2 years.

Quality over quantity, as Hokie says..........it's a marathon, not a sprint

I actually read an article (don't have link sorry) on the top performers in various fields (sports, music etc), and they stated that even for top performers, to perform at their peak, no more than 4.5 hours of deliberate practice per day is achievable.

Super low volume day that I am not happy about. I spent the whole day talking about bs on Gtalk and skype instead of grinding...

Notes: played better than yesterday, ran into a bunch of coolers near the end of session. 756 games played already this month (8 days?!) w/ my goal for the month being 1k so def doing well there.

kinda wanna start a pg&c for 2012, but feels a little lame since i most likely wont follow thru :/
