we don't know nothing yet about him? I just call him down to get informations and see what he did and why then...

perhaps he's the kind of player who gets excited when makes top pair on the river... or the one that uses any big scary card...

or even worse he made is hand on the river or was slowplayng one and if comes over the top we'll be wondering what the hell happened

we are probably missing value here but we could get valuable information in exchange...

I'm probably playing too much deep tables... in the early stage of a match vs unknown I find shodowns more valuable then winning or losing 250 more chips

it can be a long match and knowing opponent tendency can help a lot...

I think i probably just flat as a results of some subconcious pokerstove calculations

edit; i may underestimate how light an "unknown" will call us in this spot, but I expect good players to fold pretty much every 1pr or worse hand in this spot (except maybe ak which i doubt he has) and unless he's calling too much oop I doubt 2pr hands such as 83, q3, T3 and maybe T8 are in his range.

this.

there's no way in hell we are folding here, and raising/shoving is just burning money imo since he's unknown and we can't reasonably expect him to call with enough hands that we beat since we have no reads.

on second thought i think i like a flat. His sizing makes his range super polarized so your most likely not going to get value from a worse value hand.

im flatting for certain, just because info is awesome and there is no ****in way im putting in 520 chips and folding, so Id rather call and take a note

I think vs an unknown I just flat here just about always. It's rare to have this be just Kx, more likely to see it be KQ J9, or air.

I also want to clarify that I think we are ahead here a large majority, but we aren't called by worse nearly enough to justify a raise imo.

I call every time. Raising is really thin value in my opinion.
