oppo is tight as ****, I am worried he might have a better kicker. I don't think he would shove a mid/bottom pair with diamond ( and he would't have bet the flop in the first place with that)

I would flat flop. I think you are overvaluing protection here. A hand as 'weak' as 6d2x has like 50% equity vs you. Super standard call imo, and the hands I would be raising would be QX+diamond with a middle kicker or better.
