x/call flop. x/r vs a pot sized bet with such a big size is really bad with this hand.

As played, kind of whatever--I guess call it off... But getting in this spot is the big issue with the hand. It's a bad spot to x/r thin given the pot sized c-bet, it's a bad sizing to x/r thin, and your hand is too thin on this texture to x/r thin anyways.

Just to be sure: with too thin you mean my hand value compared to the hands he would call where I am ahead (eg lower pockets), right?

But when is a Hand good enough too raise but not that good where you don't want to raise. E.g. If I had a7 I probably not think to raise because I don't want to raise him out of the pot.

This question I am facing myself very often. When to value raise?

Yeah, too thin means you're not getting value from villain's defending range (ie their range will be ahead of you) so it's better to keep villain's range wider by calling.

A7 you probably want to x/r here, unless you think you can get even more value by inducing villain to barrel too much on later streets (doubtful at low stakes, on this texture, unless you have reads villain is crazy).

Thanks. Is there a basic rule when to raise for value and when not to raise because of nuts e.g.?
