I had a few (4-5) occasion in this year, when I disconnected, or software lagged, so my money stuck in. Every time this happened, I mailed PS, and they always sent me back my money. So if this is happening to you, you should try this!

dont think there is a lot of 60s regs at stars who doesnt sit Timmy when they dont have enough tables and see him opensit, but most dont bother to "hunt" him

I'm not saying that I crush 30s, but this guy was playing ridic small number OOP and also did some weird stuff. Unfortunately he declined after few tourneys.

He said to me in chat "I didn't steal his money, I stole his equity" as if that justified it

Hey guys,

I'm voluntarily entering the thread to help round out the conversation, not to have everyone jump down my throat like frequently happens on 2+2 threads. I like peacemaking, and hopefully I can make a little right now. Please be respectful to me and vice versa.

A couple of disclosures before I start:
1)Tim is one of my very close friends in the real world.
2) I'm not a HU player, so i'm not familiar with codes of ethics in this community.
3) I strongly disagree with the way he talks to players at the table. He sees it as part of the competition, much like 2 opposing athletes talking to eachother during a game. Like it's just part of the battle. It makes me want to vomit.
4) Off-subject, but he's actually the nicest person I know in real life, no joke. (weird, hey?)

Now, to the issue at hand:
Everyone has to understand that he had absolutely 0 idea that this type of arrangement was in place. He has never once complained to me that he disconnected and didn't get money back. Normally when he disconnects he bitches to me about the internet, and chalks it up as a loss. Let that sink in. He legit believes when he disconnects, that it's part of the game and his money is gone. Therefore when his opponent disconnects, it is also part of the game.

This was not a case of "Look at the money i stole by being unethical!!". It was a case of "oh cool, my opponent is disconnected, that's +EV for me". If you frame this situation that way, it's not a person being "bad", it's a person just being happy winning the game.

He is never on 2+2 or other poker communities, this isn't some common practice that he was aware of. My advice to everyone is to proceed with life, and do not send him his money back if he disconnects.

Did he steal? Absolutely not. Was it unethical? I don't know enough about HU to make a decision on that. I'm totally open to conversation here guys as long as everyone treats each-other with respect. I'm sorry to OP that this situation got out of control. I never like to see anyone feel hurt.
