Nice recent comeback, Primo!

So to me it seems like the whole HUSNG.com crew doesn´t want any regs to switch over to STs so they can keep their edge. I mean it´s so obvious. Everytime somebody posts a wingraph over 1000 games some HUSNG.com guy comes in and says: Yeah you better wait, you´ll loose it all back.

Nah just joking.

Nah they are balanced. 70% truth, 30% scare.

I've hid nor embellished in nothing about my experiences with super turbos. Other people may have different results and come to different conclusions. I suggest if you doubt how crazy they, go ahead and play some and come back and tell us.

Ryan told me to come back in and check the thread... guess I did at a good time!

@Primo - That's to you. 2 to 1 odds, 2000 games, one month to complete, 3%+ ROI at $350 or higher. I'll make that play open.

@Mr.G - I think you're only half-kidding . Truth is, I like it when people are critical of motives or intentions because often, our incentives are misaligned. I don't believe that super turbos are beatable for as much of a clip as some people think. And, of course, because I feel that way, I'm willing to back it up by putting $$$ on it .

@mersenneary - Nope, I don't play them. They sure do look fun though!

I think i'll take this, stakes $350+ only, STs only 1 month, 2000 of them, my 8k vs your 16k... lemme think about it for a bit but I think ill accept

edit: also, if its 2k in one month, would have to do it once I get back from WSOP obv, unless we make it my next 2k games, completed within a reasonable time frame or something

I'm happy to book that bet... for you it can be the next 2000 games, and you have until August 15 to complete (so 30ish days if you wait until after WSOP, 50ish if you start now). Pick a date and we'll start it on that day, just make sure it's clear/public when the bet starts, I trust you.

If you decide you're ready to book, just quote and say booked with a start-date/time, and you can change the amount to anything less than or equal to my 20k wagered. I'm assuming I can pay on PS. No need for escrows though I can escrow my piece if you want.

... ATM you're not booked for any amount, so no worries if you want to step back. Good luck .

Oh, and ROI is average ROI... So, calculate ($$$-returned - $$$-wagered) / $$$-wagered for each game played and take the average of those values.

You can only play games that are $350 + $5, $500 + $6, and $1000 + $11. (so if higher games become available, you can't play them

Ok, so m gonna accept bet, terms are as follows:

2,000 games, Starting 6/27/2010 (tomorrow), finishing August 15th, 2010

Super Turbos ONLY are counted, stakes $350 + 5, $500 + 6, and $1000 + 11 ONLY

Chops from same time sits (Via FTP chop feature) will be marked via me, w/tourney ID, and discounted from the total, so the first 2000 legitimate games (non-chops) will be counted

I win with a 3.0% ROI or Higher, Skates wins with a 2.99% ROI or lower, 3% ROI is as quoted BEFORE rakeback

My $10,000 vs his $20,000 ( I stand to win 20, lose 10, he stands the opposite)

Don't think I missed anything, but let me know if I did. Quote to confirm and say booked or whatever. GLGL, will be a fun 2k game sweat

Booked.

ROI calcs are as given by this example:
If you win a $1000 + $11, your ROI is ($2000 - $1011) / $1011 = 0.97823936696...
If you lose, your ROI is ($0 - $1011)/$1011 = -1.0...
So if you won 52 and lost 48, your ROI would be (52 * 0.97823936696 + 48 * (-1.0)) / (52 + 48) = 2.86844%

ROI for each game won:
$356: 0.96629213483
$506: 0.97628458498
$1011: 0.97823936696

ROI for each game lost:
-1.0 at all levels

Total ROI for bet = Sum(ROI of each game played) / 2000, which is the number of games played

Spirit of the Bet applies (no chip dumping, I can't all of a sudden start playing and sitting him, etc.). If there is a disagreement in our eyes about the winner of the bet, Pasterbator, ChicagoRy, and Spamz0r will determine what is equitable.

GL, fun times

just to verify, your method of ROI calculation is the same that Sharkscope uses, correct?
The Superturbos (aka "sejjeturbos") Discussion Thread Quote

I don't know what method Sharkscope uses so I can't comment on that. This is "Average ROI per game", not "Total ROI", so that it doesn't offer incentive to move up/down in stakes depending on if you're above or behind your ROI requirement.

It is the same as sharkscope's fwiw. Average ROI not total ROI.

This bet will be post-poned until Tuesday (2 days), and potentially slightly more, but it will def. start around or after then. Cause of this the end date will be 2 (or slightly more) days later, but I assume i'll be done the games much sooner than that anyways so hope it's not an issue.

(so therefore all games today, and tomorrow will not be counted towards the bet. Also i'm writing this before I play any games today, I may play games from now until the start of the bet time, but they WILL NOT count, regardless of how I do)

post-ponement will be explained later, Skates is aware of the delay

Gotta say I think primo has a very good deal here

Only thing is that with only 2k games there is still a fair amount of variance to contend with
