Looking for someone to study regspeed/turbos with. I've just started HUSNGs and I'm going through the free Mers ebook atm, but it's pretty dry reading. If anyone's doing the same, it would be nice to discuss our notes on each chapter as we go along or something like that. I'm currently playing the $1.50s (at least until I finish the book, then I might top up my bankroll for the $3.50s).

We are looking for more members to join our Skype study group.

Goal
-----
The goal is to have a strong core of players who like to learn, share, motivate one another towards improving further in the game.

Key ideas behind the group
-------------------------------
- Consistent playing: We want the most motivated players who are constantly seeking to learn as much as they can about poker and gambling.
- Smart people: We want only bright people to join our group. As an unofficial indication, we would like people with an IQ of 132 and higher. We can tell if that is the case. An indicator of this is not so much knowledge but curiosity.
- Knowledge: We like people who read about what is happening in the poker world, are in touch with their edge, and are committed to learning more.
- Good, commited friends: We believe that good results come both from being interested in poker but also from making good friends who we can share passion for poker with. In any group where anyone participates frequently and actively, people get to spend a lot of time with one another. In other words, we must also "click" somehow.
- Sharing: We believe that everyone can learn something others don't know and we want to openly share that, like we do. Thinking that you are the best is fine, as long as you can say why and share information about it with others.
- Independence: Although we may share a lot of information and sources about poker about how we play, everyone learns independently. We don't all have to learn the same way and follow the same strategy, although we all learn fast.
- Quality over quantity: Unlike other groups which are full of anyone who joined, we prefer few members that we can know well and that we can all like and talk with. We have no interest in zombie members or people who simply want others to teach them poker for their own benefit.

Topics

The main topics of discussion in the group are about poker strategy, how to improve and how to make better profits, but also about all poker subjects and gambling in general. We also are friends and rarely make discussions about our personal interests as well.

Game type and playing stakes
----------------
We mostly play cash and some MTTs.

The limits you play in are somewhat irrelevant. Our members all are studying a lot, reading the latest books, studying forums, watching videos, may have coaches already, and are essentially working on moving up the limits anyway.

Most members play micro limits at the moment but we accept higher stakes players.

Leadership
------------
There is no official "boss" who runs the group, in the sense that only the most knowledgeable one is right and dictates who is right and wrong like a coach. There is no coach because we learn independently. But if we don't like you will not stay in the group for too long.

Size
----
We are currently 5 members, 2 of which are on more frequently. We like the group small.
