4betting to 20-30bb w 88 is always a suboptimal choice fwiw, unless we're really deep imo. AJ is a wholly different story as it plays much better postflop at small SPRs

hmm I don't know if I agree with that. I think that's a pretty ez call. You have position and you are not too sure about his 3betting range since 8 hands is not enough to know his 3bet tendencies unless he is an agro monkey who 3bets 40ish percent or more. In this case I would agree that would be an easy shove

Maybe ahead of his 3betting range, no so sure about the 4bet shove calling range...
