Probably checking. Betting very small to get value from some rare 5x and 2x also seems fine.

Another spot like in the 4 flush hand that you want to valuebet way too thin. Like you said there "I still think there are spots where small sizings can get thin value in similar spots".
You are thinking of taking value from 2x and 5x but dont look at the bigger picture. There arent that many 2x and 5x hands on flop already in villains range since its a raised pot, plus almost all 2x should be folding to turn barrel already and a decent chunk of people even fold 5x on this turn aswell. At this stack depth villain will have some lower Ax often aswell along with a lot of Qx, so a small river bet is once again very bad.
