Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Hello, is there any description of how the jackpot randomizer system actually works?

I've heard that during low traffic times it's more likely to have low multipliers.
Other than that it may be that right after an high jackpot has appeared, in the near future it's less likely that can appear again.

I used the search tool but couldn't find anything

(I'm playing on PartyPoker)

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Recently returned to online poker after a 5 year hiatus, decided to deposit on partypoker and play spins there. Is there anyway to track my results now that they dont save hand histories? Searching my screen name on sharkscope brings back no user found.

I believe you can request them through Party support. Someone mentioned it in a thread in this forum a few months ago, he was complaining that they do it for others but he was having issues, but eventually got them I believe. So... you may have to request it a few times or escalate, but ask support for your HHs.

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Are the frequency of big multipliers in ps flash spins lower than the normal ones?

I could not hit a multiplier bigger than 5x in flash format during a whole week of grind.

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Is openshove with hand like 22, 33 from btn the best option with 20-25bb eff stack in spin go ? If not shove should i better fold preflop, also raise is questionable, maybe only limp and that I hope the opponent does not increase bet.

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (3 max) - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4: http://www.pokertracker.com

Hero (BTN): 25 BB
SB: 20 BB
BB: 30 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 3d 3h
Hero raises to 25 BB and is all-in, fold, fold

Calling shove looks bad to me. I think on the flop you can check/call or check/raise. All you need to do is make sure you aren't check/raising too much. Just figure out what you are taking this line with for value and add the appropriate number of bluffs.

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

I read the entire thread. Unfortunately most of the questions are asking about software and buying coaching. I was hoping it would be more about discussing strategy. There is a little bit here and there, but not much.

I've just started dabbling into Spin and Gos and have had a lot of success so far. I'm playing really low stakes since it is a structure I am not use to ($3 games). I'm running pretty good over 100 games and have over 50% winrate for awhile, though I'm not sure if that is sustainable. I at least passed the 99% confidence interval of being above 0% ROI which is great. I'd like to learn more though so I can crush the stakes above that I will soon be playing.

Some questions I have:

Do we never flat in SB to a button minraise? I'm thinking no. Either raise or fold.

Is limp/jamming small pocket pairs on the Button at 15BBs a viable strategy? What about from the SB at 25BBs?

We flat in that position yes, especially if there's a fish behind.
But some highstakes bots who had really good winrate few years ago had less than 1% flat range in that position.

On that screen you're SB vs BTN MR 3way, from left to right you can see what this GTO solution is doing from 8bb deep to 25deep.
For example QJo is fold 97ish% of the time 8 deep, shove most of the time 12deep and mostly flat but does a bit of 3bet NAI 22-25deep.

Idk never thought about it, but I'd presume the answer is no.
You can just open shove 22-66 15bb deep at small stakes and MR 77+, I'd guess it's probably still the best strategy at midstakes.

In theory, yes a lot, but the pop tendencies of the games you're playing probably under ISO, so I'd be carefull about it.
Open jamming 22-66 25deep vs fish is probably not a bad strat.
Could work against your regs too, idk what stakes you're playing.

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Wow Weebey, love the chart and good advice. For now, I am doing a bit of simplifications so I probably won't be doing a lot of flatting from the SB. What software did you build that chart from? PIO?

Good point about BB players not ISOing enough. I'm playing the $7 games currently. I want to get some decent games in the $7 range before I hop on up to $15 and $30 respectively. My goal is to get the ROI number above the 0% threshold within a 99% chance window. I've done this with $3 games. $7 is next.

The other day I was working on creating hands to call vs. jams against players that jam very wide. I open 38.16% on the button which may be a bit too tight, but I was trying to construct a range where I can call off comfortably without them being able to auto profit from a lot of junk. Unfortunately this makes my calling off range a little wider than what seems ideal.

In similar spots, if I call off too wide, my opponents can profit big time with their value hands, if I call off too tight, they can jam quite wide. It is difficult to find that balance. I end up finding the best tightest and loosest range within reason and pick something in between. Not sure if this is that good, but seems like it is doing okay. Just after typing this I opened ATo and called BB jam and they had AKs. I suppose I should play tighter vs. BB jam than SB jam.

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

Running pretty bad (I think) in the nano Spins.

Can somebody give me just a rough idea who many tournies do I need to play until I can have at least a bit of confidence in my results? You know, I'm looking for the equivalent to like 15k or 20k hands in 5NL or something like that (at that point I would place at least some trust on my actual bb/100).

I did a quick search and found a thread which says chip EV is unreliable (I am currently running around break-even but my chip EV is waaaaaay above the actual amount of chips won).

Nobody on my question?

BTW, I noted my user name is not very creative as a veteran poster already used something closely related. I have asked forum management about a change but they haven't gotten back to me just yet.

Search for swongsim.

Chip ev is fine. Still we are talking thousands of spins depending on how sure you want to be.

Play lots of volume and read the hand histories on this forum. I would try to avoid youtube tutorials until you’re further down the line - they tend to be too specific to certain scenarios

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

hey, I'm new to spins, coming from hyper husng.
I wonder, how these spins are beatable... don't have a samplesize yet, played my first 30 1$ today. won 15, so 50%

was around 50% 2x and 50% 3x. is relying on a bigger multiplicator and shipping these the strategy? how is it possible to leave the stake as a winner with the 2x multiplicator and rake? I'm curios.

thanks in advance

Re: Spin and Go Beginners Thread

first level, new villains no read

hand 1 - we flop the nuts and villain 1 bets 3 streets and we knock him out
hand 2 - we 3! to 6bb on villain 2's 2bb open with K9o - villain 2 tank shoves

call/fold?

I'm leaning to call here since i've already dug a hole but it feels like a spew
