I generally play a mix of SNG anymore and never have messed with these jackpot SNG. The idea of a 3 player hyper winner takes all seems fun but I don't like that it is a variable prize format and I don't like that the standard rake is 6%. That 6% rake seems like it is too high for anyone to be profitable in. I have looked up so many regs that play them on ACR and haven't found a single player that is winning over any decent sample.

So, my question is, is it actually possible to be +EV in a game with such a small edge and relatively high rake?

Oh, and let's lobby sites to do 3 man hyper turbos that are winner take all but you just win 3x your buy in every time.

6% rake is quite low, industry standard is 7% and 8% on micro
Why would you want to lobby sites to make it a flat payout? If you do that, games are dead because no casual player will play those without a dream of hitting it big. You can sign up for insurance/pools that pay you 'variance' free depending on chips(ev) you make.
Game is hard to beat if you play 2 regs every table, so you need to game select/time select or play more tables than other regs, plus you have rakeback right? ACR always had decent one

7% is not the standard for hypers. It is 7% on Global and that is above the standard. A $50 spin on ACR has a $3 rake. A $50 6 max hyper on ACR has a $2.05 rake. That 95 cent per game is HUGE and hard to overcome.

The reason variable pay out sucks is again because of the high rake. That 6% rake is based on you getting every prize pool possible. So, in order to get it DOWN to a 6% rake, you have to play enough times to hit the big prizes. Which means, most people are actually paying significantly more than 6% rake because they aren't getting enough games in to hit those big prizes.

Hell, even a $3 hyper on ACR only pays 6% rake. A $10 hyper on ACR pays 5.5%. How in the world is 7% a standard?

pokerstars, ggpoker, winamax all have 7%, thats why its standard, be happy acr has only 6%
When games were created ~8years ago, it was 5%, but all the sites noticed its so popular that they went full greed. They even charge same rake for super-hyper format with 15bb starting stack and 1minute blind increase.
