Hi

Today I was thinking how to play against very loose calling station. From time to time. This kind of opponent call us very ligh even 3 streets with marginal hands like 3rd pair and 4rd pair

And I think using small ball theory is optimal, because we keep pot small and we decrease ouer betting frequency with bluffs.

Now there is question. Which hands are good to limping? Middle stuff like J8s or even K2s and Q3o. But with Q3o we have poor postflop equity and we cant hit so good like with hand like J8s.

So how you think which hands are good for limping?

cheers,

Piter

If he calls with 2nd and 3rd or 4th pairs then you should raise hands like K2o+ K2s+ same for Jx and Qx but limp with not top heavy hands, with those it's hard to get his money since he is dominating you sometimes and you can't really value bet bottom pairs.

I'm not too familiar with small ball but if it means you bet small with top pair or good 2nd pair then I don't think it's optimal, since he is a calling station, he should also be calling larger bets so you should just take his chips with big bets, as big as he is willing to call.
