I've just played 3 HU SNG's and made a standard button raise. All three games they have insta shoved! First two times I duly fold, but the third time i'm raging!
Is this some new fashion? Surely it cannot be a very profitable move in any situation?

I'm not folding AJ to a shove first hand. Shoving over a 3bet as well. I play 6.25 and 11.50's though, might not shove over 3bets readless at higher stakes.

Definitely standard to call.

Sometimes they will have a PP, however a lot of the time it is Ax and even just random stuff like QJs or even 103o (seriously 103o).

fwiw, i filtered my db for all hands this year where i called a 3bet shove the first hand (i set filter to >74bb eff stacks, so most likely first hand)

happened 33 times

opponents' hands were:
