I said you have a greater chance of being called on the river than on the turn, which is not what you seemed to have implied I said ( I cant really figure out what you are saying btw; that someone with 5 outs will usually call a large turn bet?) If we bet and are called on turn I think we have to c/f river. But if we check turn I feel like we have a far higher chance of getting called on river by lesser hands.
checking is also good for potcontrol imo. Lets say he calls our turn bet, then what?
BTN/SB: t1455 48.50 BBs
Hero (BB): t1545 51.50 BBs
Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BB with 8 8
BTN/SB calls t15, Hero raises to t100, BTN/SB calls t70
Flop: (t200) 7 A 5 (2 players)
Hero bets t120, BTN/SB calls t120
Turn: (t440) K (2 players)
Hero bets t270, BTN/SB
CALLS
Pot size is
1080, and we have 1005 left or so.
what river card do you really want?
or we can check, and if villian checks, pot is 440, much easier to play OOP
Please let me know Hookie, or Spamz or someone if this is trash thinking. ( tbh, hookie opened my mind to getting value depending on the sts with his Newff leakfinder vid, and even though we are OOP, I think this is still a prime example of how/\.
