EDIT - no llittle kid behaviour - just - i have being treated unfair - and i hate unfairness - against me or any other. this bloody forum is just not fair to posters...if u r not one of the big club...u get kicked ass from time to time...i never did anything to mers...and he kicks me...out of no reason..his reasoning is just ridiculious

incredible how people cannot handle to have power themselves.
as little power is - they turn into little hitlers.

Good work imo, it really helps.

This is probably the most frequent question on this forum and theres no answer in FAQ. I know theres a link to discussion on this somewhere in the FAQ post but apparently its not that easy to spot. Why not simply answer this in FAQ then?

Today appears to be "let's learn about A4 from the button with low effective stacks" day.

Looking for opinions:

Where should "quick check" type hands be posted?

A) Regs Thread
B) New Thread
C) Let's have a "quick check up" thread like HUNL
D) They shouldn't be posted at all

Or if anybody has other ideas, let me know.

b

its hard to have conversations about multiple hands in one thread.

if youre not sure about how to play a hand, it probably is interesting enough to have a thread. remember, standard spots are often the most important.

not like we have too many strat threads anyhow...

This is my position currently but I'm willing to get talked out of it depending on what people want. What I gather though is that people generally don't like hand questions in the regs thread, is that true?

The beginner/general questions thread is also a good spot imo.

+1
Especially for quick check ups. (as it is happens now as long as I know)

If sth more interesting then new thread (I mean some reads, longer posts and so on).

I think the beginner's thread was pretty much made for quick check-ups. You could always make a new thread if conflicting opinions arise imo.

I agree with yaqh that standard spots are the most important though.

I agree with Air Bear and Yaqh on that.

And it's not like people get flamed for posting a double barrel with 2nd pair vs a readless opponent.

Those threads actually spark a lot of debate, which makes the value of discussing standard spots versus specific spots all the more apparent. Good players should not disagree so much in these spots, but it happens a lot.

Quick check threads should be posted on AIM or MSN

maybe 7th hand in the match, villain limps every button

PokerStars - $10+$0.50|10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: 1,360.00
Hero (BB): 1,640.00

SB posts SB 10.00, Hero posts BB 20.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 30.00) Hero has K Q

SB calls 10.00, Hero raises to 80.00, SB calls 60.00

Flop: (160.00, 2 players) Q T 5
Hero bets 120.00, SB raises to 240.00, Hero calls 120.00

Turn: (640.00, 2 players) 3
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (640.00, 2 players) J
Hero checks, SB checks

so i don't know this guy, looks kind of passive preflop but could be crazy post but i didn't thought so. So on this flop when he raised me i saw no reason in reraising cause i would have to get it in against a draw or a hand that had me crushed. so my plan was if a brick hit the turn i would c-r all in.

It are these kind of board i have difficulty with. TPGK on a board that has a couple of draws.

Thoughts on flop?

have u raised his limp before?

I think you could 3bet to like 500ish or just shove. I would have no problem getting it in on the flop. As played bet the river like 300ish.

You shouldn't be to worried about getting it in on the flop - u have some blockers to cards that complete his draws and you will be ahead a large % of the time.

4bet the flop, as played, lead turn for 400, shove river.

Quick advice to help you post helpful advice in strat threads:

You are on the button preflop, so postflop you are in position, therefore when villain:

-checks

You can do one of the following: check behind or bet.
You can't do one of the following: check calling or check raising

-bets

You can: call or raise
You can't: check call or check raise his bet

I've been guilty of this a few times over the years. It does seem to happen quite often though.
