I'd bet smaller otr, something like 80-90 chips.

According to the solver this is actually a check back.
weird spot, any idea why?

Most likely against a gto opponent their calling range has more hands that beat your pair of aces. If villain raises its hard to find a call as well and the turn and river both improved villains range. I probably would have value bet this river simply because villain checked the turn and river. Most people aren’t protecting their checking range enough on this board and would likely have bet the river if it helped them.

is cbet OTF necessary here?

cbet is (slightly) better than non-cbet considering just flop play. I don't know if that means it's necessary, perhaps later street exploits allow you to make back the flop bet EV, but to me it seems more straightforward to just bet flop and allow later street exploits to add-on to that guaranteed value.

As for river, yeah if GTO says it's a check back than clearly given the sizes allowed betting will result in <50% effective (post raise/fold issues) equity when called. This will depend on your BU opening range (many people use very tight Ax heavy BU opening ranges in solves so that will impact it, as well as villain's river betting and river defense). I'd also assume that the solver likely says the EV of bet and check are super close--so whether it's actually betting or not to me is less relevant than that reality.

To me it feels like in real world it's a correct river value bet--but definitely using a small sizing makes sense (worth noting that perhaps this wasn't allowed in the solve for example).

Interesting line, pensodasolo. I analyzed your spot in GTO Wizard:

Flop: The solver is rangebetting mostly small here; I like your minbet.

Turn: It starts to polarize on the turn, betting with top pair+ for value. Now the solver doesn't open A4o in these solutions, but we can use A5o as a proxy.

River: Your river bet sizing is good for your range. Blocking the 4h is actually quite relevant here as most of BB's flushes contain a 4/5/6h.
