Etiquette question.
I play on a small site and a reg has been sitting husngs. We both mainly play cash but I've been joining his husngs occasionally when action is slow. Tonight he asked me not to join him anymore. I don't know him personally and don't see why I should respect his wishes, as I'm sure he wouldn't complain if he thought he had an edge. I assumed if you open sit husngs you should accept all comers but I've only ever play cash games so if this is a somewhat standard request please let me know. I just don't see why he should be able to sit and scoop fish but deny action from tough players. I'd appreciate feedback. For the record, i think the sng starts immediately after 2nd player joins.

I don't think he's OOL for asking if he doesn't want to play, but he -can't- deny action from you if he's open sitting. The game starts automatically once you sit.

If you don't mind playing him, then just continue sitting like you have been.

I'd just politely let them know that you sit most anyone bc you like action and feel you do well vs most players and learn from the tougher ones.

Or just say nothing.

The player can ask all they want, no big deal, but also no big deal to sit anyone who chooses to open sit.

What I would avoid is specific targeting and aggressive chat in these spots. Several times over the years players have been restricted/warned when they've specifically only sat one other reg, said so in chat, and harassed them a bit in chat. I would avoid that combination of things if you want to keep playing this person freely.
