my friend, there is a lot more to life than money and poker. if you died tomorrow, would you be glad you spent the last 3 years playing poker every single day instead of doing more fun stuff that all the money and freedom of poker is supposed to allow?
I think his point is the exact opposite.
He mentions he does not care that much about hourly, and with the tables and number of soft opponents he probably played coming up, that backs up his words.
He also said he comes from a family of hard working people and the work he's put into husngs pales in comparison to what he expects he'll be doing after he's finished with poker.
I don't understand your statement.
Camel's solid points aside, I want to point out that Lebron James, as an example, recently acted extremely poorly as a competitor and player when he lost in the Eastern Conference Finals. We're talking about a guy that clears well over 30 mil a year with endorsements and was by all legitimate measurables clearly the best basketball player in the world last year and he still struggled acting professionally with a loss. I'm not excusing anything anybody here does in game, but it's not like this sort of thing is terribly uncommon among the world's top competitors.
Edit: Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Tiger Woods are also people you could use similar comparisons with in recent years.
