old post - OP - nice nice nice - i saw the post several times but did not read it as it was too long - now i did, and somehow, yeah. it is good to suck at poker, if you know why, bad if you do not know why....

i now made real big money in over 2 years...some 3k i guess only...spent thousands of hours, making a ridiculous amount in terms of hourly rate.

but still - THIS is THE game - it is so extremely difficult in different areas, making it interesting to me..so i stick to it without dreams to win some decent amounts anymore. i just play and try my best, hopefully i will be able some day to make enough money to pay my depths with it ..but, the long run is longer, even longer than you and me are thinking....looooooooooooong, but on the other hand one never knows to find a short cut just around the corner

Self-awareness and being truly honest with oneself are tough nuts to crack. I can relate to you on many levels. I don't tilt anywhere like you but I am an engineer also, was always able to learn and pick up things easily, and I was always an arrogant fool. I am still arrogant, but learning that in poker no matter how smart you are, you need to improve your game constantly, fix those holes, understand that you have much to learn and that learning doesn't come quick (like most other things in life) and that starts with knowing you are not as good as you think you are.

i read it again - even tho i am not playing anymore. and i did read this post at least 20 times before.... this and other things did not help and i am sad to say i am not playing anymore. cause i really also f.....g love this game.

it came down to that i play sometimes just for fun, once a month for an hour or two. 5 levels under the levels i used to play. but only cause i have some very little money left on my account. but if i continue to run like i did, i am crushed soon even there.

i am sure that i do not suck like that at poker, but s..t happens more often in this game as one thinks. and i guess variance is by far higher then the calculator on husng.com is telling you.

i might be back some day if FTP ever will come again. i am missing poker really...

the self-critical part is just pure bull****, I have several skype chatlogs that contain chats of you bragging about how good you are, how everybody else at your stake sucks, and how high your ROI is. Your ROI is not even 3% and when I called you out you wisely didn't say ****.

overall roi is under 3% yes. as i run bad this whole year and i had a major tilt. last year i had above 8%. filter filter filter...and reveal your stars ID then we can play. but i know u will not have the balls to do so...LOL

i looked it up: 1.4k games ROI 8.59% more than half of the games 22$,33$ some 11$ few 6$

you just said you tilted once. you really think that because of that ONE time you tilted, your ROI dropped for over 5%? think again.

and "last year I had..." doesn't count. How is that relevant/impressive? it's about what your ROI is now and not what it once was or could have been.

There's several people who know my stars ID, it's not a real big deal, I just like the way it is right now so I don't plan on telling a lot of people my sn (including you).
