bumhunting is never playing weaker regs or other regs, if you sit first and no one except recreational players sits you, i would consider it as bumhunting too.

The HUSNG's and lobbies are fine as they are, clearly most people don't want this except the top players. Go help the cash players who you ****ed over by asking their suggestions then ignoring EVERYTHING and introducing cap tables.

just as i thought ..automated seating has a high potential for abuse not only vs recs, but vs regs as well. players arbitrarily getting banned from it is an interesting but foreseeable development. would be interesting to hear more from chadders and ry about their involvement in this.

I have no involvement with Sharky, the only money I make outside of poker is from the occasional payment I receive from the vid pack I made way back.

Also sitting exclusively first is bumhunting. Because people aren't aggressive with weaker regs at their stake level everyone gets to just sit in an empty lobby and wait for a fish, this is the bumhunting everyone is talking about that has made the lines at lower stakes so long.

I mean it's so obvious, only regs sit first, and fish second. If you play poker so you only get the people who sit second you are just nomming the fish without playing regs, that's bumhunting!

Nobody has any involvement in that program except the owner of the program (as far as I know).

I'd venture to guess that PokerStars will have to respond to the community in some form over the issue, we rarely see threads grow so fast as that one.

I cannot play on PokerStars.

Players send their money to the software because they have no real chance at non regular opponents without it and the software works well.

As many point out and ph33rox says in his thread, without the software, what can most do except get sat endlessly by regulars who are using the software?

Obviously if a business like mine or HoldemManager did this, people would just laugh at the business. People are taking a different tone because it is a more serious issue than that.

Edit - It's really the que part that makes the issue unique. Without the que, people wouldn't be calling for Stars to do anything about this, as the software would be able to have competitors and ph33rox would have a choice. The que sort of creates that critical mass component to the lobbies and leaves ph33rox with no other choice.

first off id like to say that this bumhunting argument is a bit ridiculous this chat was made to discuss the current situation with the heads up hyper turbo lobbies not the definition of bumhunting. I agree with what chadders has said about the consent to avoid system in where ppl can mark ppl that they do not want to be playing against. I think that it is extremely unfair for two players that do not want to play against eachother be forced into playing. I think that the battlenetsystem if it doesnt have a consent to avoid feature will be a disaster, and some regs would even move over to different sites, 90-95 percent of the games would be reg on reg action which means many many people would not be able to play poker for a living as it is hard to continously beat the rake against good players especially at the midstakes levels where the rake percentage is higher, if two players dont want to play against eachother they shouldnt HAVE too. PS i really like the way the lobby system is right now but if it absolutly did have to change i would def go with the consent to avoid feature.
