Hey guys, pokerstars.fr has just lunched the 100€ Spin & Go with a top prize of 1 Million Euros, they also lowered the rake to 5% (was 6% on the 50€).

The $100 will probably come very soon on .com, maybe with a lower rake too?

Thoughts?

How much will France's socialist government let you keep if you win or will they just take it all and distribute it to losing players (after keeping 40% for "administration fees")?

Interesting! Not sure what to think about the topprize of 1M, seems a bit to big. that's a 10k multiplier instead of 3.6k, if they set it up that it would hit once every 300k games instead of every 100k games, then I hope it wouldn't increase effective rake by a lot.

The 10k multiplier is present for all buy ins on .fr, it hits 4 times for 1 million tourneys except for the 100€ buy in where it hits only 1/1Million tourney, making the prize structure "smoother" and diminish the impact of not hitting the top prize. Combined with a lowered rake, I think that's what regs are aiming for.
(A shame that until 10€ level included the rake is 7% !)

Yes .fr really sucks, I'm on .com during the year and .fr holiday-time, only good thing is the poorer skill level of opponents.
A .eu market would be better for volume of players but I would be scared that they adjust the rake on the higher side. I think .fr has the lowest rake of the 3 markets but I can't see a future .eu converge toward the lowest, unfortunalely.

Seems like they are d1ck measuring vs Winamax.. They firstly announced 50€ and 500k jackpot, next day PokerStars offered it and now this

50€ been added to .es as a "1 week promo" (but they seem to stay) too but not 100s yet. Top prizepool in .es is 250k
