How do you get selected for the exclusive poker challenge on pokerstars?
I know that it is the promotion team that actually picks up the players, but what do you think are the criteria adopted?

I think their job is to pick players that would otherwise not consider playing on stars. Players that have put alot of volume in the past and quit for example. So if you are grinding alot and dont already have the challenge they will probably see no reason to give it to you.

i play a reasonable schedule around working and have had the challenge many times, even after completing one

i think game type matters. a few husng peeps i know get them, cash grinders are complaining they do not

These exclusive challenges are not offered to certain markets. Did you e-mail the support?

And what evcrusher says makes sense to me. I mean, I have quit playing on stars and I got back 11 months ago (but I couldn't have played because the site was banned in my country).

Also, I've been a member of stars since 2011. But not really sure if this matters. We don't know what's going on behind the curtain.

But I'd say, if you are not satisfied with stars rakeback (which is almost non existent for the majority of players), then try to find an alternative, if you have a chance. But apps are available all around the world. Not sure if they offer SnG's, but CG is better format overall, because you can use the skills learned in other games, too. Whereas, if you play SnG's/MTTs, you will be better at ICM, push/fold etc., but you won't get the chance to play post flop so often with so deep effective stacks.

Yeah I unsuccesfully tried to contact the support asking to be included in the promotion
