Playing short stack against a tight range. Playing short stack against a tight range.

I have been running into a lot of hands that dominate me when effective stack is around 10bb.

Take this hand for example.

    Poker Stars, $14.69 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    Hero (BB): 330 (11 bb)
    SB: 670 (22.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K 6
SB raises to 60, Hero raises to 330 and is all-in

Villain raised 1 in 5 hands from the small blind. If he minraised here it seems terrible to call or fold. Yet when I shove I am constantly dominated.

What can I do here against what seems to be a tighter range.

well if he's actually only opening 20% you shouldn't be shoving k6s

    That much is simple math.

Honestly if somebody is opening that tight I would just fold k6s. His range is in large part strong kings and pairs which crush you. Vs the aces you aren't doing so bad but don't think you can make up the lost equity even with far superior postflop.

The vast majority of opponents are opening more than 20% though

villain is raising only 20% IP? That's pretty tight. I'd just flat here and cautiously proceed.

Is 5 hands enough to make this assumption though.

did he fold the other 4?

If so I would def be inclined to think he is pretty tight based on that, and you need him to be opening AT LEAST 40% to be able to shove, probably more like 45%.

Not really sure how much you EV you can get out of K6s by flatting, I'll let other people comment

If he is folding that much, I would flat with K6dd. He will fold to our cbet without hand(I am guessing here), and raise/fold with K6dd is not what u want. It might be better to shove suited connectors than K6dd against his calling range.

I think after 5 hands you cant give him a tight image because he can get a lot of trash in these hands and nobody wants to push 32o 73o 92o ... into a 10bb stack so I would fold here.

there are situations to flat minraises supershort, i am pretty sure though that this isn't one of them. especially not when you want to "cautiously proceed", if anything you need to contest the pot alot postflop.
