^ You obviously haven't read this thread nor are you aware of how the higher buyin heads up sng world works.

If Plauzee didn't sit him, it is likely that another reg would have. They would've then likely blinded him down, but would have sent the money back. This happens all the time, those regs "look out for each other" so to speak.

If you want to argue that there's some degeneracy involved in players and internet connections, you're probably right, just read hundrye's posts.

But like the person that robbed you, just because you may have not been in a good area or shouldn't have been where you were, does not mean that the robber is let off the hook.

Also, "basically dood is smart and saw free money and took it."

It's still way too early for this to have played out completely, but I'd say whatever fraction of 12k that he got (remember, he sold action) is probably not worth the EV lost on this ordeal that he had on becoming a Stars pro.

He had a very high traffic blog in a valuable market (German), a good reputation and pretty solid lifetime profit and volume on Stars.

It's also double digit chances that regs sitting him from this costs almost as much as he gained in the long run. The "no edge in reg vs reg" guys will disagree, but there's some damn good regs here that have proven time and again that they can bust other regs with determination, focus and discipline.

So "dood was smart" I also disagree with. That's not apparent and this could've very easily been a -EV monetary choice.

basically dood is smart and saw free money and took it like any other normal person
was it immoral? thats your opinion

someone else would had done it and the thread would had been about someone else

point being? :S

"Having a USB stick for those circumstances I wasn't too excited but it turned out it wasn't worth the money, meaning: I had no internet for about 45 minutes."

what the **** does that mean? makes no sense....

people use usb internet from mobile satallites as backup incase their main connection fails... this time it didn't work

your the dumbass who took that kind of risk over a ****ty internet connection.. COMES WITH THE TERRITORY.

the best connections can disconnect lol

so if it wasn't that reg... it would be another reg right? angleshoot?? are you an idiot??? do you even have to say reg? who else plays those stakes? non regs??

most regs would have either let him be or shipped back the money. just because more than one person had the oppertunity, doesn't make it less of an angleshoot/theft.

and yes he has to say reg. highstakes players don't expect other regs to do this. if it was an unkown fish than he probally wouldn't have made the thread

sounds like your not going to move on from this too well....
what are you going to get out of this
atempthing to blacklist plauz is the only thing you can do

other than that, you could tilt about this for the rest of your life, its your choice

if anything NOW EVEN MORE PEOPLE know you have a ****ty connection and are going to rail you and wait for that sweet moment. good job mate! or hopefull a good person will rail you and join asap if this happens again so that they can protect you and give you your money back right????

lol at the notion that this thread will make people more likely sit him if he disconnects. I don't know how far the 'sit plauzee on sight' thing will go but it could cost him much more than 14k in equity.
seriously so much of what you just said is dumb it's unreal, are you levelling? in which case NH. Otherwise WTF lol. your an idiot.

Plauzee bro just give it back even if you didn't realize it before you have to realize it by now, what you did was wrong. Swallow your ego and just give it back, is it really worth being blacklisted for just a few k?

This is a good point, hadn't really thought about it from this perspective before. Surely this should motivate him to see the error of his ways, admit he was wrong and send the money back? Maybe I'm too idealistic...

This might've been mentioned before, i haven't read the whole thread. Did PlauZee make it clear he was selling action in order to blind bjoerni down? I would imagine that he would've had to explain that. If so, the people who bought action are just as much at fault if not more so for condoning his intent. I know it is unlikely we would ever find out who they are, but still.

I think he just means sell action to play that high but I can't be sure.

If he sold it specifically to blind down though... wow seriously? Even even if you ignore the shady part, that's.... really quite lulzy.

The way I understood this is that he sold action specifically to sit and blind him down - and if that's true and can be proven, then I'd be surprised if Stars didn't take any action against that.

Is it even allowed by their TOS to sit someone without the intention of actually playing him - just to blind him down and take his money ? And if it is, then probably because this didn't happen before and they'll probably add it in near future.

Thinking about this i can think of a better safe guard the sites could impliment over the idea of auto unregistering disconned players from lobbys.

I think the lobby should still be open and available to sit. Once the second player has sat a popup alerting the player that the first player to sit is currently disconnected and the game will start as soon as connection is re established. This player can then either wait for the original player to re-connect or have the option to unregister at any point to find another game. Then after a certain time say 10-15 mins or so if the player has not reconnected then the lobby is automatically closed.

Agreed this isnt really the thread for this discussion but hey not as if its going anywhere at the min.

I have to give this idea my highest +1,000,000 support. If the client software if able to display a message when registering for a tournament that if you disconnect or sit-out you will be blinded out, it would only take a few lines of code to implement a check for disconnect status by either player and then allow them to reconnect before the SNG starts or the other player the chance to unregister if the wait for reconnect is too long.

Obviously, this might cut into profits for the poker sites though because either way they make rake if the player is disconnected or not but I think the decrease in users complaining and contacting support about these issues should be worth the change.

Sites wont display the player who has sat the lobby second then, just that somebody has, until game starts. simples.
