Hello guys im new to HU Hyper Turbo's and was wondering if my thought process is okay for a beginner here ($3.50 Micro's). This isn't a specific hand just a spot i would like to improve on and make sure its +EV.

Let say he standard Raises 2bb On button i flat with

:9d7d

Flop comes 7H 8H Jd

I Check, he Continuation Bets Half Pot (2bb)

I c/r if 20bb+
I c/Shove if around 15bb

So i have Bottom Pair a Gutshot and Backdoor Flush

I have Roughly (Equity)
35% v Pair
25% v Pair + Gutshot
60% v Flush Draw

By check raising his cbet do i often pick up enough fold equity + equity when called to make this spot plus EV? I understand it also depends on the players tendencies and ranges but it seems impossible to get sample sizes at these stakes. Lets assume he has a 100% Button Raise and 80%cbet.

+EV in most spots?

You will really do better x/c this hand on the flop.

Random villain is not going to barrel this board, so it will be easy for you to realize your equity. Just x/c flop and turn and x/f river unimproved. If you hit turn or river x/jam or donk depending on his barreling frequency

Thanks for the reply, It makes alot of sense. What if i x/r flop and shoved turn? If hes betting almost everyflop 2/3 he wont have connected and when i check raise and shove he will fold most of his 7x 8x and sometimes low jx.

Your hand is too strong to turn into a bluff, if you want to checkraise this board do it with hands that are close in EV between calling and bluff raising such as gutshots. However, I do perfer leading these types of boards with gutshots since it smashes most BB flatting ranges.
