Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

Is there a way to see the total prize pool in HEM2 reports?

I'm also having problems with the EV being miscalculated.

I'm upgrading from HEM1 to either PT4 or HEM2.HEM1 does not calculate ev properly for spins that are greater than 2X prizepools and am unsure if upgrading to HEM2 instead of Pokertracker will be a mistake as I intend on putting time into spins.Spins aren't my only game, but before purchacing i'd like to know if both programs track spins properly? Thanks.

I don't know if it works properly in PT4, you should try the trial. In HEM2 the EV is still bugged and they've known about it for over a year. It doesn't look like it will be fixed soon..

Is any Pokerstars rep in here? Because I'd like to know if Pokerstars is going to add 100$ buy-in for spin and gos (while removing the 7s) now in the end of the millionaire promotion? Thank you

Hopefully yes, peoples desperate to start playing those

Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

I imagine it's quite likely they'll add $100s at some point, but no way they'll ever remove $7s. perhaps you meant the $5s ?

Re: ** Official Spin and Go's Discussion Thread **

The 100s might as well come with $1.2M as the top prize pool on a permanent basis, be careful with your wishes

Edit: Pokerstars Baard has been inactive here lately, but you can try your luck and PM him.

What do you think about a prize structure as follows? It does look quite playable.

The $300K top prize version:

It does , even in the tourneys where I've finished in 3rd, because the prize pool is written into the tourney summary file.

@Coon74

5% rake continued at the 100s?

if stars rakes them at 4% they could ad 2x1200x spins/100K and still have 600 buyins to distribute to more frequent teirs

or five 600x /100k...

v much liking the sound of five 50k+5k+5k in addition to the current 5% paytable

also @Coon74

wonder what im doing wrong here.... why isn't this a valid expression for expected ITM?

(((amt_expected_won / cnt_tourneys) + 500) / 1500) * 100)

Heh, good luck with persuading Stars that the rake should be 4%

The main problem with my initial paytable was that the frequency of $1.2M tourneys was too high (they took 4% out of every BI); if it's reduced, e.g. like below, the format will become about as playable as today's 60s.

It's indeed a valid expression for the expected ITM (again, you can just divide by 15 instead of dividing by 1500 and multiplying by 100), but UncleTom was asking about ROI.

Note that, in the ROI formula (slightly simplified in comparison with my above post),

((amt_expected_won / cnt_tourneys) + 500) * (1 - (amt_fee / amt_buyin_fee)) / 5 - 100

the (1 - (amt_fee / amt_buyin_fee)) multiplier accounts for the rake (equals 0.95 for the 15s-60s etc). Rakeback should be added to the ROI directly (e.g. 0.4 * 5% = 2% for 40% return) because it of course doesn't depend on how often one wins.

You'll find this most similar to CoffeeHUD - http://www.husng.com/content/spin-go-hud

In PT4, it's accurate (plus there's $EV (My Currency Net Adjusted) that takes the multiplier into account). I haven't bothered to learn HEM because PT rocks

The reg-infestation (typical of the WPN) is the real rake. The life at the 40s isn't easier than at Stars' 30s-60s imo. #nomoneyinpoker
