Im not sure if it has anything to do with the Spin n go's, but i woke up early to monster grind today, and around 8-9 AM the games start to get filled pretty fast, and around now it takes like 1 min to fill up 4 players for the 4 man HU shootouts... Now i have to wait 3-4x the normal time, even at this time a day.. wtf? DISLIKE

You can create your own synthetic "lottery" HU SNG's with less rake.

Every time you win a normal HUSNG count 33% of the prize towards your desired "lottery" buy in.

Eg if you are playing $3.50's and you want to gamble it up at $100. Just keep track of how many you win and as soon as you win 45 games you will have $100 in your gambling pool [45 x 1/3 x $6.7].

It's not exactly the same you don't get a shiny spinny thing at the start and you may play a better players. And you get to play 3 handed. Also the normal HUSNG's are rakeed less than the Spins.

But is is similar that you are funding the jackpot pool through by accepting a lower return from your "normal" game.

.................................................. .................................................. ...

Anyway my points are

1. You are paying for your entry into the jackpot games

2. You are paying a higher rake to do so.

3. Even though you can structure the frequency of normal HUSNG games at various buy ins to replicate the Spin n Go's structure but no-one ever does this or would think it was a good idea. Why would you want to play 88 games at $3.50 and 1 at $100.

Stars have just created an illusion that appeals to gamblers.

I'm a 9 man hyper reg and the games run well at most times for me. I haven't touched the 9 mans in a few days because of this. Binked a $15 $3600pp last night but only managed second

So hooked now though, they are insanely soft.

And obviously, you need the dealmaking functionality asap.
Are we allowed, based on trust for as far that's possible, to let someone win and let him take care of the distribution ?

Stars "created"nothing they just copied the game format from other sites where it existed for a long time. Just as they did with hypers or zoom.

it probably is a combination of the spin & gos plus Stars banning all those countries on the same day

-1, having a deal functionality kills like 50% of fun.

Lol at playing for 36k in a game where edge is very small... Instead of taking 12K and make your day with 400 BI win in 5 minutes....

it's not about whether edge is big or small, and of course vast majority take 12k rather than play it out, that's the point though, it kills half the excitement of it. 1st you gotta get lucky and hit a jackpot table, 2nd you gotta win, the games took become far more exciting if you have to do the 1st and 2nd part and not give people option to nit it up. Once you do give them that option, it rarely makes sense to not take it, so don't give it them and preserve the excitement.

Kinda lost, but that's probably bc i see poker as a steady income and not fun ?

I did some simulations on those. If you crush those games at 36.5% winrate (which would come to 5.12% roi in normal 3man sng with 4% rake) you need 355 BIs for just one Kelly criterion!

With 36% winrate (3.36% roi in normal) you need about 1280 BIs for one Kelly.

With 35.48% winrate (2.18% roi in normal) you need infinity as you stop being profitable.

And keep in mind this is one Kelly. One Kelly is not reasonable bankroll. One Kelly means that if you have less, then your long term BR growth will be not optimal.

Anyway, bankroll requirements are one thing, but samplesize requirements are more interesting here. I estimate reasonable samplesize in those to be about.. a hundredth million games. You get 4 top payout games in every 100k games, to reach long term in those (and they are most important) you need to have a few k of them, lets say 4k, so: 100k * ~4k / 4 = ~100M.

If you're a sick grinder you should reach it in just over 80 years

You are arguing from a viewpoint only concerned with the self interest of steady income. I am arguing from a point of it being able to deal being against the essence of what this game type should offer. There is no reason you can't view poker as a steady income and realise that being able to deal acts against the intended nature of this game. An introduction of a deal option would be a bastardised form of the intended game.

Couldn't find the VPPs per game on the client so I asked support.

Thank you for your inquiry.

In Spin & Gos you earn VIP Player Points (VPPs) based on the total prize pool and the according rake. VPPs are generally awarded to players based on the amount of rake collected in PokerStars' real money ring games and tournaments. Fractional VPPs are awarded to the hundredth decimal place.

Spin & Gos have the following rake structure:

- $1 Buy-in Spin & Go’s: 7% of the prize pool goes to rake
- $3 Buy-in Spin & Go’s: 5% of the prize pool goes to rake
- $7 - $30 Buy-in Spin & Go’s: 4% of the prize pool goes to rake

Accordingly the amount of VPPs per Spin & Go depends on the multiplier and the total prize pool. In tournaments, 5.5 VPPs are awarded for every $1 of rake and VPPs are awarded once a player is eliminated from, or wins, a tournament.

For example, in a $3 Spin & Go with a multiplier of 10, the total prize pool would be $300 and the rake would be $15 so that means each player buying-in to the tournament would earn 82.5 VPPs.

For detailed information regarding VPPs, Spin & Gos and rake, please visit the PokerStars website:

VPPs: http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/earn/
Spin & Gos: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/spin-and-go/
Rake: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/rake/

So VPPs are based on the prizepool rather than a steady "line".

So if you hit the 36k one, you get almost 8k VPPs O_o

Doubtful. In the $30 lobbies it states 6.6 VPP/game.

Yesterday I observed a couple of max multiplier games which quickly descended into a somewhat unappealing frantic panic as each player tried to do a deal, some thought you could and wanted to do it, others wanted to do a deal but thought it was not allowed. They ended with a mod making an equal 3 way split, but only after each player had sat out/ come back / blinds going up / shall we play? / argghhh wtf shall we do etc. (the players did not know what to do for several minutes, with blinds obv still going up). There was also one guy who says OK, deal and then tried to steal the blinds, which are now 60/30 with very few hands played.

Looked like a bit of a mess but it seems deals are now off the table (official ones anyway).

Stars must have had enough of this - it now states on the tables 'deal making unavailable', I don't think that statement was there before.

Hello,

The template above is based on a miscommunication with support and has been corrected.

VPPs for Spin & Gos are earned in exactly the same way as for Sit & Gos, based on the rake of the specific tournament and credited immediately after the last hand you play.

Thanks,
Baard
