god i hate "stables" of dirty ****ing cheaters. i hope stars bans these cucks into oblivion and denies them ANY ability to ever play on pokerstars.
i feel no pity for these scum.
I tested out some spin and go's over the last few days. Just at the $3 level, nothing big.
I made ~$5k from spin and go's grinding them in February/March 2015, running up a bankroll from a $100 deposit. Starting at the $1 level and briefly playing the $30 level. They were very easy back then, full of fish and players making basic mistakes, you didn't need to study hard to beat them.
I definitely felt them getting tougher though, and I heard rumours that Pokerstars were going to change their rakeback, so I stopped playing them and cashed out.
The $3 level is literally 10 times tougher than the $15 level was in early 2015. About 80% of the opponents I ran into at the $3 level over the last few days were from Russia/Ukraine/Belarus. Maybe 5% max were from Western countries (Germany, Canada, UK, Scandinavia), with the remainder coming from countries like Latvia, Estonia, Brazil, China. It was noticeable how the players from Western countries played worse. $3 to them is nothing. $3 to an Eastern European means everything. When I hit 4x or 6x multipliers and got heads up with a Russian, it was like drawing blood from a stone trying to win the game. It would last ages. I swear Eastern European countries bring almost no fish to the game and, like you say, a lot of cheaters and colluders are from those regions (not all, but a lot of them).
Cliffs: Spins are beatable, but far tougher than a few years ago and you actually have to be decent to win even at the lowest levels (or use illegal software/charts/bots, hopefully whoever does that gets eternally banned from Stars, their balance confiscated and made to pay compensation).
